Qigong originated in China. Qigong has a long history in China. The content of ancient Qigong is usually called breathing, moving qi, regulating qi, persuading, guiding, alchemy, monasticism, meditation and so on. China's classical Qigong theory is based on the traditional Chinese medicine fitness theory. It turns out that part of Qigong is called "dance", such as "the bones and muscles can't be contracted, so it is passed on by dance" in Lv's Spring and Autumn Annals. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, part of Qigong was summarized as "guiding and pressing stilts". Huangdi Neijing, a monograph of traditional Chinese medicine, records the cultivation methods of "lifting heaven and earth, grasping yin and yang, absorbing essence, nourishing the mind independently, nourishing the muscles as one", "concentrating" and "nourishing the mind as one". The breathing technique of "shush or blow" is mentioned in Laozi. "Zhuangzi" also has "bragging and panting, getting rid of the old and getting new, and the bear is stretched out by the bird, just for longevity. Peng Zushou's hobby as a candidate is also recorded. Among the cultural relics unearthed from Mawangdui Han Tomb in Changsha, Hunan Province, there are the silk book "Birds Eat Together" and the colorful silk painting guide map. Quegu Shi Qi is a book that mainly introduces the methods of breathing and vomiting. The guide map is the earliest map of Qigong, with 44 images, which is a portrayal of ancient people using Qigong to prevent and treat diseases.

The benefits of qigong are not only health care, but also the treatment of diseases. If patients choose qigong as an adjuvant therapy, they should choose different qigong according to different diseases. For example, patients with gastric ulcer and stomach disease can cultivate internal strength; Cancer patients can choose walking, Guo Linxin Qigong and self-control Qigong. Patients with hypertension, neurasthenia and pain can choose to relax. Bedridden patients can choose to strengthen their vitality; The benefits of qigong to the elderly can also help patients with neck and shoulder diseases recover their neck and shoulder functions.

Qigong health care is an exercise method to achieve health care, disease prevention and treatment through conscious self-physical and mental adjustment. Before learning qigong for health preservation, we should first understand and master the taboos of qigong for health preservation, so as to achieve twice the result with half the effort in future practice.

1. Avoid "falsehood"

Qigong pays attention to practicing "true qi" and avoids wrong thoughts and behaviors. Therefore, to learn qigong for health preservation, we must first learn to be a man and tell the truth. Only sincere people can cultivate "true qi".

Step 2 avoid "greed"

Greed, six unclean evils. In the process of spiritual practice, we must avoid greed. If we are greedy, our hearts will be unclean, which will cause a lot of trouble and prevent us from entering the state of practice.

3. Avoid "impetuous"

Many diseases of the human body are caused by emotions, because people's emotions will affect the normal physiological functions of the human body. Once the function is abnormal, it will cause disease. Therefore, people who practice qigong should keep a peaceful mind and not get angry, otherwise their practice will fall short.

Step 4 avoid "boasting"

Practitioners should guard against arrogance and rashness, and leave room for what they say and do, so as not to interfere with their self-cultivation and cause adverse consequences.

5. Avoid "sexual intercourse" (different sects say different things)

Only when the human body is full of essence and vitality can it stay healthy. If you don't control yourself in life, you will inevitably damage the essence and cause kidney deficiency, so you should reduce sexual intercourse when practicing Qigong. However, many schools of Qigong (such as Meihuamen) do not agree with this. It is pointed out that "essence" is not "essence", but a kind of conscious energy of human beings. And proper sexual intercourse is conducive to practicing martial arts.
