How to raise stone flowers
Soil: when cultivating Quercus variabilis, plain sandy soil, flower soil and vermiculite can be mixed in a ratio of 3:2:2:3 to make a cultivation substrate; In the warm environment, the ambient temperature should be controlled between 10 ~ 30℃ when the oak is maintained daily. Water and fertilizer, from February to April every year, during the molting period of Lithocarpus chinensis, watering should be stopped; Light, in summer, the stone flowers should be transferred to a ventilated and cool environment for maintenance.

1, soil conditions

Oak is suitable for growing in the soil with loose air permeability, good drainage, low humus content and high sand content. Plain sandy soil, flower soil and vermiculite can be mixed according to the ratio of 3:2:2:3 to make culture substrate, and carbendazim solution should be sprayed into the soil for disinfection after mixing.

2. Warm environment

Stone oak is suitable for growing in a warm environment. During the growth of Quercus variabilis, the ambient temperature should be controlled between 10 ~ 30℃, and it should be moved to a warm room for curing in winter, and the room temperature should be controlled above 12℃ to avoid frostbite.

3. Water and fertilizer management

The raw stone flower will enter the molting stage from February to April every year, during which it is necessary to stop watering and fertilizing, so that the leaves will gradually age and fall off. During the growth period, oak can be watered once every half month, and watering should be carried out in the early morning or evening. In addition, decomposed organic liquid fertilizer should be applied to oak every 20 days to supplement nutrition.

4. Lighting requirements

In the process of stone flower maintenance, we should also pay attention to the change of light. When the weather is hot in summer, put the stone flower in a ventilated and cool semi-cool environment to give it all-weather astigmatism. In autumn, stone flowers are in a vigorous growth period, so they need to be kept in sunny places to avoid excessive growth of branches and leaves.
