Guizhou culture can be divided into four parts according to its characteristics. First, the pre-Qin culture of China, represented by Nuo culture; Second, the traditional health preserving culture and sexual culture in China named after Yi culture; Third, it is the bamboo culture that came into being in the farming culture period and matured in Yelang period in Guizhou. Finally, the ancient culture of China was introduced into Guizhou in the Tang, Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

According to the order of entry, Guizhou culture can be divided into five parts: Guizhou native culture, Gupu culture, Sanmiao Jiuli culture, China ancient culture and China modern culture.

Therefore, compared with Mount Tai, Guizhou's national culture is complex, rich, profound and heavy. The greatest feature of Guizhou culture is that it comprehensively, completely and systematically describes the culture of China before the pre-Qin period, and at the same time, it also retains some ancient cultures of China, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, especially the Ming and Qing Dynasties. China's pre-Qin culture, including the mature hundred schools of thought culture in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, is considered as the most colorful and magnificent culture in China. From this point of view, Guizhou culture is mainly a living fossil of Guizhou national culture, which is no different from China ancient culture.

Guizhou primitive culture is mainly preserved among Guizhou aborigines represented by Gelao nationality, Guizhou Gupu culture is mainly preserved among ordinary descendants represented by Buyi nationality, and Sanmiao Jiuli culture is mainly preserved among war immigrants represented by Miao nationality. The typical representatives of China ancient culture are Tunpu culture and Qing Chuan culture, while China modern culture moved in with the war and construction in the Republic of China and after the founding of the People's Republic of China.
