Growth data of oyster culture
Oysters refer to oysters, oysters, also known as spiders, sea oysters, marine mollusks, and edible meat. It is an expensive seafood in restaurants.

Oyster, also known as oyster seed and oyster ring, is a kind of bivalve shellfish with a fixed lifestyle, which generally lives on rocks suitable for sea areas.

There are many kinds, distributed in the north and south coasts of China. The main species suitable for breeding in southern waters is oyster plicata. The main species suitable for aquaculture in northern waters are Pacific oyster and Dalian Bay oyster.

The adaptability of oysters to various factors of water environment varies from species to species, even greatly.

The suitable salt content of oysters is 2.2%-2.6%, and it is not good for growth if it is higher than 3.0% or lower than 1.0%.

The suitable water temperature for the growth of Pacific Oyster is 6-32℃, the growth is slow or stopped when the water temperature is higher than 28℃ or lower than 6℃, and the growth is the fastest when the water temperature is 15-25℃. The suitable salinity range is 0.6%-3.0%, and the optimum salinity is 0.6%-2.6%.

There are many ways to cultivate oysters, such as throwing stones, inserting bamboo, raft culture, floating raft culture and bottom sowing.

Due to different breeding methods, the designed yield per mu is also very different.

For example, rafts are used to cultivate oyster pleats. A raft is set at the lower edge of tidal current and low tide area, and oysters are hung on the raft. Each raft is 50-60 meters long, and a string of oyster seedlings is hung every 30 cm, with about 30 oysters in each string. The spacing between rafts is 3-4 meters, and 2-2.5 rafts are one mu, which can be harvested in 7-8 months. During the harvest season1-April, the individual shells are 7-8 cm long, and the average yield per mu can reach 6- 10 tons (fresh weight with shells).
