Brief introduction of green sand equipment
Green sand ware is a traditional handicraft of Han nationality in Yuxian County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, with a history of more than 300 years. Local casserole, casserole, sand crane and other utensils are famous for their high quality, low price, wide use and special performance. Green sand ware is made of raw materials called "Ganzi soil" by local people and fired at a high temperature of 1400 degrees Celsius. This kind of soil is sandy, fine, soft and plastic after fine grinding and filtering, and has the characteristics of single formula molding. Yuxian sand ware is simple and light in shape, usually thinner than that in other places, with fine production technology and emphasis on technology, skill and temperature. Fired utensils are blue-gray, and the more they are used, the brighter they become. They have the characteristics of non-deterioration, non-discoloration and non-taste of cooked food and medicine. Yuxian has a long history of producing celadon. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, Yuxian pottery pots were used in the palace to cook Chinese medicine for emperors and ministers. However, with the development of society, compared with modern utensils, this kind of sand ware is not beautiful enough, and the market demand is less and less. At present, there are only one or two workshops in Baihe East Village, South Liu Zhuang Town, Yuxian County, and the output is getting less and less. This traditional craft of Han nationality is facing the situation of being lost.
