Tools/materials: bicycles, front and rear transmission sets (including front and rear transmission, chains and sprockets), adjustment tools (such as screwdrivers and wrenches), power wrenches or torque wrenches, screws or other fasteners for adjustment.
1. First, install the front and rear transmission kits on the bicycle. Usually, the front transmission is located in front of the big gear and the rear transmission is located behind the flywheel. Please adjust according to the model and design of the bicycle.
2. Carefully tighten the limit screws of the front and rear transmissions with a power wrench or a torque wrench. This will limit the movement of the transmission between the maximum and minimum toothed discs to ensure the safe and stable operation of the transmission.
3. Use a power wrench or a torque wrench to gently tighten the tension screws of the front and rear transmissions to increase or decrease the tension of the chain. When adjusting the chain tension, please make sure that it is not too tight or too loose to avoid damaging the chain or transmission device. You can judge whether the tension of the chain is appropriate by observing the movement of the chain between the maximum and minimum toothed discs.
4. After adjusting the limit screw and tension of the front transmission, it is necessary to adjust the guide plate and limit screw of the front transmission to ensure that the chain will not rub against the front wheel when moving forward. It can be adjusted according to the design and riding needs of the bicycle.
5. Similarly, after adjusting the limit screw and tension of the transmission, it is necessary to adjust the guide plate and limit screw of the rear transmission to ensure that the chain will not rub against the rear wheel when moving backwards.
6. After completing the above steps, please sit in the car for a while and check whether the transmission works normally. If problems are found, please make adjustments according to the actual situation. When making adjustments, please be careful to avoid damaging the transmission or chain.
