The park is surrounded by mountains and waters, with lush flowers and plants, and the green space rate reaches 93%. This is a good place for tourists to relax and cool off. The scenery of Huaxi Park, with four mountains of tortoise, forest, phoenix and snake as the skeleton, stretches from west to east along Huaxi River. Bashang Bridge and Baibuqiao Waterfalls on Huaxi River roar, flying beads splash jade; Zhou Furong and Fanghezhou streams are quiet and green; Among the mountains, Linshan, Guishan, Sheshan, Fengshan, Gu Teng, paths are everywhere, and pavilions are looming; Besides, Song Mei Garden, Hongfeng Garden, Yulan Park, Bitaoyuan Garden, Sakura Garden, Gui Huayuan Garden and Peony Garden are all in full bloom at any time. Bloom in spring, cool lotus in summer, fragrant cinnamon in autumn and fresh plum blossoms in winter. After visiting West China, Marshal Chen Yi left a poem "There are mountains and water everywhere, and the layout of West China is more natural".

There are three wonders in the garden: there is a hole halfway up the mountain, which is deeper than the Huaxi river bed and can hear the sound of running water. Snake Mountain confronts Guishan Mountain, separated by water, and connected by water bridge. Crossing the bridge is a hidden blue cloud nest, as if isolated from the world. This is the second miracle; On the Baibu Bridge on the Huaxi River, there are hundreds of stone ridges, which are placed zigzag on the dam, one step at a time, slightly above the water, and tourists will pass through them, watching the reflection in the water and flying high. This is the "three musts". At present, Huaxi Park has more than 5,000 kinds of berries and seeds, more than 3,000 honey trees and 25 kinds of birds. Abundant water bodies and warm climate make the plant population in the scenic spot numerous, and birds are also happy to inhabit it, especially in Xiaozhou Shoal near Huaxi River, where wild ducks and waterfowl chase and play, forming a unique landscape. In addition, Huaxi River is rich in water resources, with an average annual natural runoff of 984 million m3. The water quality is excellent and crystal clear, reaching the Class II water quality standard of surface water, and it is an important water supply point for Guiyang citizens' domestic water.

Huaxi changes wonderfully and is full of fun. From Huaxi Bridge to Fanghezhou, the water is stable, the sky is overcast, and the trees are flowery and orderly. In the garden, there are nearly a thousand kinds of famous flowers and herbs. All kinds of etiquette. There are more than 200 kinds of butterflies on both sides of Huaxi, one of which is called Yunnan Liyuan butterfly, which flashes blue light when flying; A purple butterfly with sky-blue stripes has dazzling golden wings. Since the Ming Dynasty traveler Xu Xiake visited the landscape of Huaxi and praised its beautiful scenery, Huaxi has attracted more attention. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Zhou Kui, a sage of Bai Yang Village in Huaxi, and his descendants advocated elegance, managed landscapes, changed Lion Mountain into forest mountain, built pavilions and dams, and formed "Zhoujiayuan", which is the original appearance of Huaxi Park today. During the period of the Republic of China, it was gradually managed by Liu Jianhui, the county magistrate of Guiyang County, before it became a scenic spot, and it was nominated as "Zhongzheng Park" by He, so it gradually became a scene in central Guizhou, and people came to visit it in an endless stream, which also branded many human and historical marks.

Huaxi Park, formerly known as "Zhongzheng Park", was founded in 1937 and was basically completed in March 1940. Wu Dingchang personally presided over the inauguration ceremony. The following year, what is the main entrance of the park inscribed "Zhongzheng Park". 1949 was officially named Huaxi Park. But in fact, its development history can be traced back to the mid-Ming Dynasty. Huaxi Park, after four development periods from Ming Dynasty to People's Republic of China (PRC), has gradually developed into a tourist attraction integrating natural scenery, historical sites and cultural landscapes. At the same time, it is also a comprehensive reception service scenic spot integrating eating, living, traveling, shopping and entertainment. The scenic spot has received many important leaders, such as Zhu De, Chen Yi, Dong, Chiang Kai-shek, He, Feng Yuxiang, and many travelers and literati, such as Xu Xiake, Ba Jin and Xu Beihong, have also traveled here.

There are many cliffs with historical background in the park. Among them, the precipice of "life gathers lessons" on the mountain was put forward for the purpose of "collecting the blood and lives of millions of people to warn and learn lessons", which was intended to inspire people to carry forward the spirit of sleeping hard and not forgetting the enemy of their home country; Guishan Air Defense Museum's cliff "No air defense means no national defense" is intended to highlight the importance of air defense in the Anti-Japanese War.

The place where Ba Jin and Xiao Shan, the literary giants, held their wedding and completed their masterpiece "The Garden of Resting"-named after this, now there is Ba Jin showroom;

General Dai Anlan, Yi Guanzhong, in the 31st year of the Republic of China, Dai Anlan led 200 divisions to fight against the Japanese army on the battlefield in Myanmar and was wounded and martyred. The people observed a moment of silence and held it painfully. American President Roosevelt also signed an order to award medals. This is the first time that China soldiers won the American Medal in the anti-fascist struggle in World War II. In the 37th year of the Republic of China, General Dai's coffin was moved from Huaxi to his hometown in Wuhu, Anhui. According to the wishes of the people in West China, Zhu Gui county magistrate built a tomb for the general with a pair of leather boots and a military cap, and set up an epitaph to show his pursuit of Myanmar.

Wu Shang Club, now Xishe, is located at the bridgehead of Huaxi Park Dam. Chiang Kai-shek, Jiang Jingguo, Jiang Weiguo and Feng Yuxiang all lived here.

Dong's Title Huaxi; Chen Yi's "Hua Xi Zayong"; Ba Jin's "Rest Garden" also describes the inexhaustible beauty of West China.

The rich folk culture in Huaxi Scenic Area is also a highlight. Buyi villages are surrounded by mountains and waters, and Miao villages are surrounded by mountains and valleys. They have different languages and colorful clothes; There are jumping flowers, holes and fields, as well as festivals such as March 3, April 8 and June 6; They play reeds, suona, sing folk songs and watch bullfights.
