What are meridians?
Meridians are the channels that run qi and blood, connecting zang-fu organs, body surface and various parts of the body, and are the regulation system of human body functions. The "Fourteen Classics" of Chinese medicine include: three yin meridians of hands and feet, three yang meridians of hands and feet, with Ren and Du meridians as the main body, which is a comprehensive system all over the body. Simply put, the meridian is a traffic network on our body, which is distributed all over the body, and qi and blood are transported to the whole body along this traffic network.
The human meridian is an important "channel" to maintain the circulation of qi and blood. If the meridians are not smooth, various diseases may occur.
Six phenomena of meridian block
1
Cold-cold limbs, cold hands and feet
The first manifestation of meridian obstruction is "cold", and the most typical symptom is "cold hands and feet, cold limbs". This is because Chinese medicine says that body temperature is determined by the transport of qi and blood, and only when we have sufficient qi and blood can our body temperature be normal.
2
Heat-low fever, dryness and abnormal sweating.
In addition to colds, abnormal fever may also be a manifestation of meridian obstruction. If there is low fever, dryness or abnormal sweating in some parts of our body, it is probably caused by obstruction of meridians, because hot air cannot be transported and gathered together.
three
Acid-weakness and body aches.
Sometimes people feel weak after strenuous exercise. This is because we need a lot of blood supply during strenuous exercise, which exceeds the normal supply limit and leads to insufficient blood supply.
four
Pain-pain and pain are different concepts.
Pain and pain are two concepts, both of which are related to meridian obstruction, but there are some differences in degree. To put it simply, for example, if we are pricked, the immediate feeling is called "pain"; If you continue to press the injured part, the feeling at this time is called "pain".
five
Numbness-Numbness is qi deficiency and wood is blood deficiency.
Chinese medicine says "numbness is qi deficiency and wood is blood deficiency". Heavy numbness leads to insufficient qi, while heavy wood leads to blood deficiency. When limb numbness occurs, we'd better pay more attention, especially for patients with hypertension. We must pay attention to unblocking meridians in time to avoid stroke.
six
Swelling-qi stagnation, swelling and pain, blood stasis is hard to disappear.
Sometimes we can see that the meridians are blocked, that is, swollen. Generally swelling is caused by blood stasis. If you want to reduce swelling, you need to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. Scraping, cupping or acupoint massage moxibustion can be selected for conditioning.
In addition to swelling, there is also a feeling of abdominal distension, which is usually caused by qi stagnation. Bulging is usually a "vortex gas" formed when qi is not running smoothly in meridians. If a certain part of the body is swollen, you can massage along the meridians of this part first, find the pain point and then massage.
Five tips for dredging meridians
1
Foot bath; foot?bath;?foot?soak
The foot is farthest from the heart and relatively far from the brain, so the blood circulation of the foot is the worst, the nutrients are poor, and the skin temperature is low. The accumulated pathogenic toxins cannot be excreted in time and become the source of the disease. In addition, the foot is the confluence of meridians, and many acupoints are gathered between the instep, sole, foot side and toe, which is also the foot reflection area of physiological and pathological information of corresponding organs.
Therefore, soaking feet can promote the blood circulation of soles of feet, thus making meridians unobstructed. I would like to remind you here that when soaking your feet, the water level must exceed your ankles; The time should not be too long, and it is best to control it at 15 ~ 20 minutes; The water temperature should not be too high, and 40 ~ 50 degrees Celsius is appropriate. Only by soaking feet scientifically can we promote the blood circulation of soles in all directions.
2
Slap the elbow socket
Elbow fossa is a dense part of meridians, and there are three meridians passing through it: lung meridian, pericardium meridian and heart meridian. Beating the elbow socket can expel the internal heat and toxins from the heart and lungs.
When shooting, the palm of your hand is relaxed and you can shoot hard and rhythmically. Shoot each arm continuously for 5~ 10 minutes. Shoot the left cubital fossa first, then shoot the right cubital fossa, and there will be toxic reactants in different colors such as cyan, red, purple and black. The darker the color, the more serious the problem.
It's best to shoot once a week. Generally, after 3 to 5 times, the reactants will be significantly reduced, and the toxins will be almost cleaned up. If you are afraid of pain, tapping until it is red can also open the meridians and promote the circulation of qi and blood.
three
Comb hair
Comb your hair with your fingers, wooden comb or stone comb from the front of your forehead to the back of your pillow, and from both temples to the top of your head, 50~ 100 times each time, especially in the morning.
All the meridians of the human body gather in the head, and when combing the hair, it will pass through and stimulate nearly 50 acupoints on the head, which can promote the blood circulation of the head and dredge the meridians.
four
Massage and moxibustion
Massage and moxibustion can help to open the second pulse of Ren Du and the twelve meridians. Ancient health care experts believed that dredging meridians can be an important measure of health care. The simplest method is to massage three important acupoints, Hegu, Neiguan and Zusanli. It is recommended to massage for 3-5 minutes or moxibustion for about 30 minutes each time.
five
sports
Exercise can open channels and collaterals, strengthen the function of the heart, and improve the ability to remove garbage from the body. The influence of exercise on health is mainly to speed up blood circulation, which can make some occluded meridians unblocked, especially for pericardium meridian.
The unobstructed pericardium meridian can enhance the ability of the heart, enhance the immune function of the human body, accelerate the metabolism of the human body, and accelerate the elimination of human waste.
Of course, in addition to the above-mentioned small tricks to dredge meridians, there are many other small tricks to dredge meridians in daily life. As long as you can choose a few things to do every day and stick to it, I believe your health will get better and better!
