Wangcheng District, which belongs to Changsha City, Hunan Province, is located in the northeast of central Hunan and on both sides of the lower reaches of Xiangjiang River. It is connected to Changsha County in the east, Kaifu District and Yuelu District in the south, Ningxiang City in the southwest, Heshan District in Yiyang City in the northwest, Xiangyin County in the north and Miluo City along the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway in the northeast.
