China is rich in oyster resources, which is the hometown of oysters and has a long history of using oysters. As early as more than 2,000 years ago, residents in some areas along the southern coast of China mastered oyster culture technology. At present, there are oyster production bases in Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, East China Sea and South China Sea. The main producing areas are Fujian, Guangdong, Shandong, Guangxi, Liaoning and Zhejiang. Among them, oyster is the most important breed.

Oyster raft culture should choose the sea area with small waves, stable water quality and no industrial pollution. If the water depth in the sea area is more than 8m, the water temperature changes stably all the year round, and it does not exceed 30℃ in summer. Generally, the surface velocity in this sea area is 0.3 ~ 0.5m/s, the specific gravity should be 1.008 ~ 1.020, and the seabed is muddy or muddy.

Floating raft culture in shallow water uses wooden strips or bamboo poles as the frame to fix piles, and both ends are fixed to the seabed with anchor cables. 1500 strands of polyethylene monofilaments are twisted together to make the rope float on the water, and each raft uses a floating ball as buoyancy. The number of floating balls per hectare is about 1200, and the breeding base is hung on the raft rope for breeding.

Dismantle the shell string seedling picker again, adjust the spacing of the seedling picker to about 20 ~ 30cm, and tie it on the cultivation rope; Hang a floating ball about 8m at the beginning of going out to sea. With the increase of oyster quality, when the floating ball sinks to 2/3, increase the floating ball in time, hang another floating ball of about 4m, and add another floating ball of about 2m in the later stage of culture to adjust the oyster to a suitable water layer.
