What is the main purpose of fallow?
The main purpose of fallow is to improve and consolidate grain productivity.

Fallow is not to make the land barren, but to let the land "recuperate" and combine land cultivation to enhance and consolidate grain productivity. In the meantime, we should also pay attention to the management and protection of cultivated land to prevent soil damage such as soil erosion.

The fallow system can not only make the cultivated land that is too tense and tired to farm and live, but also restore the ecology; It can also improve the corresponding problems in the soil, enhance the stamina of agricultural development, and realize the real "storing grain in the ground".

Rotation:

Different crops are planted in turn in the same field in different seasons and years, or corn seed combination is planted after wheat is returned to the field. For example, soybean → wheat → corn three-year rotation, which is a single crop rotation in a year.

In the case of multiple cropping for more than one year, there are both annual rotation and annual crop replacement, such as green manure-rice-rice → rape-rice → wheat-rice-rice rotation in the south, which is composed of different multiple cropping methods, so it is also called multiple cropping rotation.
