1. Prepare a bird's nest and soak it in purified water 1 hour. Use pure water carefully. If it is ordinary tap water or mineral water, it will affect the taste. After soaking for about 1 hour, the softened bird's nest is torn into strips, and then soaked in purified water for about 3 hours, so that the natural fibers of bird's nest are fully absorbed and softened, and the bird's nest is completely loose.
Step 2 steam the bird's nest
Step 1: Put the soaked bird's nest in a colander, gently shake it in the water, filter out the fine hairs in the bird's nest and pick out the tiny impurities, and use a colander or a strainer to pick up the cleaned bird's nest and drain it for later use.
Step 2, put the drained bird's nest in a stew pot, add purified water and rock sugar, cover the stew pot and put it in a steamer. If there is no special saucepan, you can use an ordinary steamer. Add water and cover the pot.
The third step is to boil the water in the pot with a big fire, and then use a small fire, but not too small. To keep the water in the pot boiling, stew for about 30 to 40 minutes.
It is important to note that the water level in the steamer should not be too low. It is easy to dry if it is too low, but it cannot be too high. If the water level is higher than the stew pot, the water will enter the stew pot, and the water level is about one third lower than that of the stew pot. During steaming, you can check whether the water level in the pot has dropped too much from time to time. If the water is insufficient, you can add boiled water appropriately, but you can't add cold water.
