Brief introduction of Xi' an
Shaanxi, referred to as Shaanxi or Qin for short, is the ancient capital of China, located in the hinterland of northwest China, spanning the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River, connecting the eastern and central regions of China and the important hubs of northwest and southwest China. Shaanxi province spans the north temperate zone and subtropical zone, and belongs to continental monsoon climate as a whole. Because the north-south extension is very long, reaching more than 800 kilometers and spanning multiple latitudes, the climate difference between the north and the south is obvious.
The north along the Great Wall has a temperate arid and semi-arid climate, the rest of northern Shaanxi and Guanzhong Plain have a warm temperate semi-humid climate, the southern Shaanxi basin has a north subtropical humid climate, and most mountainous areas have a warm temperate humid climate.
