There are many foreign disciples in Chen Zhenglei, such as Li Dongchu (Korean), Yue Liming (British), Carlo (Italian) and Jeff (American). Among them, American youth Jeff and Chen Zhenglei have the deepest friendship.
Jeff, height 193cm, comes from Chicago, the hometown of NBA. He should be fit to play basketball, but he has a crush on Tai Ji Chuan in China. He studies boxing very hard. The American teacher who taught him boxing subscribed to many magazines about China Wushu. One day, the teacher pointed to one of the articles and said to Jeff, "If you want to learn from the real Tai Ji Chuan, learn from him."
The author of this article is Chen Zhenglei.
So Jeff contacted Chen Zhenglei and got a quick reply. In July 2000, Chen Zhenglei went to the United States to give a report, and Jeff met him. In September of the same year, he soon came to China and took a train from Shanghai to Zhengzhou. Jeff started his career as an artist. "Tai Ji Chuan can exercise and cultivate one's morality ..." Jeff publicizes it to people whenever he has the chance. Once on the train to Hongkong, Jeff met two Englishmen who were visiting China. They talked endlessly about "selling" Chen Taiji's biography to them. Two Englishmen were fascinated and got off the bus in Zhengzhou early, just to see the descendants of Chen Taiji.
Chen Zhenglei was hired by more than 50 martial arts organizations at home and abroad as a consultant, chairman and honorary president of Tai Ji Chuan. At present, he is the head coach of Chenjiagou Tai Ji Chuan Promotion Center in China, the senior national Wushu coach in China, the deputy director of Henan Wushu Museum, the deputy director of Henan Wushu Management Center, the vice chairman of Henan Wushu Association and a member of China Wushu Association. In view of his outstanding Tai Chi feats and great contribution to popularizing Tai Ji Chuan, the State Sports Commission of China awarded him the title of "Top Ten Martial Arts Masters" in China on 1994.
