Has Hua Tuo's Five-Animal Play been handed down now?
Hua tuo wuqinxi is a set of guiding techniques compiled by Hua Tuo, a famous doctor in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, according to the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, imitating the movements and demeanor of five animals, such as tigers, deer, bears, apes and birds. "Poultry" refers to animals, which generally refers to animals in ancient times; Ancient "drama" refers to singing, dancing, acrobatics and other activities, here refers to special sports methods.

20 1 1 On May 23rd, hua tuo wuqinxi was approved by the State Council to be included in the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

Modern medical research has also proved that Wuqinxi, as a medical gymnastics, can not only stretch the muscles and joints of human body, but also improve the functions of lungs and heart, improve the oxygen supply of myocardium, increase the blood output of myocardium and promote the normal development of tissues and organs. Wuqinxi, as the earliest and complete bionic medical fitness gymnastics in China, is also one of the sports valued by the courts in past dynasties.

1982 On June 28th, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and the then State Sports Commission of China issued a notice, regarding traditional China fitness methods such as Wuqinxi as one of the contents of "Healthy physical education class" promoted in medical colleges. In 2003, China's State Sports General Administration promoted the five-animal play and other fitness methods as the content of "Fitness Qigong" to the whole country.

Hua tuo wuqinxi includes five bionic guiding techniques: tiger play, deer play, bear play, ape play and bird play, with gentle movements. (Excerpted from "China Traditional Fitness and Health Picture")
