How to practice taiji tuishou well
Tai Chi Pushing Hands is a noble and civilized antagonistic sport. Neither hurt people, nor beat people black and blue, so that they make their opponents bow to their knees. It is a superb technical project to break the strong with small strength, break the poor with clever strength, slow down and combine rigidity with softness. Once Tai Chi Pushing Hands, a competitive sport with pure China culture, enters the market, its potential will be immeasurable. Our people will pay as much attention to Tai Chi as the Japanese do to sumo. Promote the development, promotion, popularization and improvement of Tai Chi. Everyone recommended Tai Chi tuishou and introduced "How to learn Tai Chi tuishou well".

There are many elements to learn Tai Chi tuishou well, just like the ten essentials to learn Tai Ji Chuan well, but it is more difficult to learn Tai Chi tuishou well than to learn Tai Ji Chuan well. Learning Tai Chi tuishou should be based on learning Tai Ji Chuan well. Learn Tai Ji Chuan well, practice all your strength into a family, and then apply it to pushing hands, and then practice the strength of Tai Chi pushing hands into a family, so that you can do whatever you want and be invincible.

Where to learn Tai Chi tuishou well? Our teacher Li Tianji has an incisive saying, that is, "Gong Zhuang" should be solid, "hands and body should be embodied, touch should be accurate, and time, speed and explosiveness should be added". With these conditions, you can learn Tai Chi tuishou well.

Mr. Hao Jiajun, a famous martial artist (nicknamed contemporary Yang Chengfu), I asked him, how did you practice your kung fu? Teacher Hao said: "Practice is boring, but energetic and boring."

In order to fulfill the requirements of Miss Li and Mr. Hao, Miss Li asked me to make great efforts in Gong Zhuang (because I am too thin, with a height of 1.73m and a weight of only 56kg). Teacher Li makes me stand on the "three postures" pile every day and catch 800 to 1000 fists every day. According to the teacher's request, I stand in three poses every day, holding my fist. The three positions I stand in are the first three steps and the last seven steps. This pose is much harder to stand than five or five steps before and after. For example, three postures can stand for ten minutes before and after five or five steps, and three postures can't stand for two minutes. In addition, when Mr. Guo and Mr. Sun Lutang were alive, they changed the five-five steps to the three-seven steps. Why? It is because it is difficult to practice Sanqi footwork, easy to practice Sanqi footwork, and slow to practice Five-Five footwork. This was originally a secret kept by Mr. Guo and Mr. Sun Lutang. The present society is different from the past, and factions have also formed. The three-step method handed down by Mr. Guo and Mr. Sun Lutang is still the five-five step method. So, it's time for me to reveal this secret today. I tell you boxers, the three-step three-step style is much faster than the five-step five-step style. Believe it or not, it's up to you to practice or not. When my teacher taught me to practice, he said, "Teacher Sun Lutang, I will teach you if you teach me." I also teach students in the way that Teacher Li Tianji taught me. The key to their amazing achievements in a very short time is the three-step pose, so I want to tell you today that the first problem of learning Tai Chi tuishou well is to solve the Gong Zhuang problem.

Gong Zhuang has a solid foundation, so he should always practice the four forehands, namely "bow", "push" and "press". As the saying goes, playing more rounds is the second factor in practicing Tai Chi. Playing more rounds means practicing reflexes, hands and body feelings, being excited by the other side, asking and answering questions, and playing rounds with different people, so you will understand. In order to practice more rounds and reflect, I often play rounds with more than a dozen classmates. My brother Liu Can and I played for 40 minutes without changing legs. I will continue to play with my four brothers Ye, Yao, Bai and Gao, and I will not change my legs. I can play for more than an hour without changing my legs. Often play the wheel like this, and your hands and body gradually show up.

You can't practice your hands with your brothers after you have reflected on your hands and body, so you can practice your hands with your students. Because there are many people who learn boxing from me, students from Dongcheng District, Chongwen District and Chaoyang District, plus nearly 200 old students from Dongcheng District Workers' Club, I often practice with them very accurately. Over time, I can also practice my hands very accurately.

After mastering the accuracy, practice mastering the time and speed. Time is the "time difference" in the current words. The old strength of the opponent has been exhausted and the new strength has not yet been created; Not fast, not slow, reaching the temperature. These are basically mastered, and I specialize in "explosive power".

On the issue of practicing "explosive power", the teacher gave me two methods, namely, pressing and squeezing "explosive power". The teacher said it was a secret technology. According to these two methods, "explosive power" has made rapid progress. On this basis, I developed the technique of practicing "explosive power" for dozens of seconds. A few years later, my students and I won 8 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 5 bronze medals in the National Tai Ji Chuan Competition. At the same time, he achieved good results in the three national Tai Chi Pushing Hands Competition in 1986- 1988, and won the first place in the group, not to mention Beijing. From 1983 to 2002, we really only lost five firsts, that is to say, from 1983 to 2002, there were 100 firsts in Beijing, me and myself.

These amazing achievements should be said to be made according to the requirements of my teacher Li Tianji. Without Li Tianji's training and teaching, I wouldn't have achieved so much. If I had succeeded in martial arts, I would have been completely successful in my teacher Li Tianji.

Of course, I also see that my students and I are still far behind the older generation in skills, such as overcoming great strength with small strength, overcoming clumsy strength with skilled strength and using soft strength. I will continue to study these shortcomings with my classmates and improve our technical level.
