Can I take a cold bath?
Taking a cold bath is not recommended.
Especially in summer, in the process of our exercise, the body's heat production is increasing, and the important way for the body to dissipate heat is through the evaporation of our sweat and the expansion of our skin blood vessels.
When you just finished exercising, you were still in a state of vigorous metabolism, increased heat production and dilated blood vessels in your skin. At this time, if you take a cold bath immediately, once the skin is stimulated by cold water, it is easy to make the blood vessels of the skin contract through nerve reflex, which will hinder perspiration and heat dissipation, but it will make you feel difficult to dissipate heat and increase your body temperature.
At the same time, the reduction of skin blood flow will suddenly increase the blood flow back to the heart and increase our heart burden. There is also the body from the hot environment into the cold environment, too late to adapt to the adjustment, often easy to catch a cold or cause gastrointestinal cramps. Muscle fatigue and tension increase after exercise, and then cold stimulation may also cause cramps.
After summer exercise, if you sweat a lot, you can drink some light salt water properly, and then stretch and relax. After sweating, have a rest and then take a cold bath.
If conditions permit, it is best to take a warm bath.
Can I have a hot bath?
If the water temperature exceeds 40 degrees or even higher, it is not recommended.
When we are exercising, our muscles keep contracting. With the increase of exercise, our heart rate and breathing will also accelerate, and the same blood circulation will also accelerate. In this case, the blood flow to the muscles and the heart itself will also increase. We will sweat a lot.
After stopping exercise, although the blood flow and heart rate will slow down, it will last for a while before gradually stabilizing. If you take a hot bath at this time, it will increase the blood flow to the skin, which is very unfavorable to the blood supply to the heart and brain, and it will easily lead to insufficient blood supply to the brain and heart.
If the water temperature is high, it will further cause us to sweat more, induce water loss in the body and easily lead to collapse. It's more like we go to a sauna and get dizzy after steaming for a long time; And when we go to the same bathhouse to take a bath, we often see someone accidentally faint or something, which has a lot to do with this. Especially for middle-aged and elderly people and obese people, it is even more inappropriate to take a hot bath immediately after exercise.
Besides, you can't breathe well after exercise, and then you go to the bathroom. In the absence of air circulation, the brain is very prone to hypoxia. After exercise, our pores opened again. Even if you take a hot bath, you will be accidentally attacked by cold and catch a cold, which is not worth the candle.
In addition, don't take a bath in the bathtub immediately after exercise, let alone take a sauna. The reason is that when taking a bath, the blood vessels in the lower limbs of the human body will expand more severely, and the blood will easily concentrate in the lower limbs of the body, causing cerebral ischemia.
Finally, we need to pay special attention to two points:
1.? Don't take a shower when your heart beats too fast. Because cold water may cause a sudden heart drop, leading to sudden death. ...
2.? In addition, when the body temperature is too high, avoid hot water, otherwise it will easily lead to syncope due to blood pressure problems …
