Low-carbon lifestyle is a new lifestyle when human life is threatened by climate change. In family life, some of our students may not turn off the lights or tighten the tap. This is actually an attitude, not an ability. Low-carbon family life is environmental protection life, that is, reducing carbon emissions in life, paying attention to saving electricity and solar terms, starting from scratch, cherishing the ecological morality of resource protection, and paying attention to what kind of life can be more environmentally friendly and low-carbon.
First, the family's consistent way of life
Over the years, the living conditions of families have gradually improved, the types and quantities of household appliances have been increasing, and the demand for daily necessities has also increased accordingly. Among these daily necessities, more items have a direct or indirect impact on the environment. According to my preliminary statistics:
Influence of household appliances and daily necessities on the environment
The name of quantity is quantity.

Analysis of 1
In May and June of 2009, the total electricity consumption at home was 10 1 kwh and 132 kwh respectively. During the day, my parents go out to work and I am studying, so the electricity consumption is low. In July, due to the hot summer weather, we used TV sets, air conditioners, computers and electric fans the most, followed by water heaters and refrigerators, so that the electricity consumption at home soared for a long time, with a total electricity consumption of 360 degrees. According to the data, household electricity consumption should also exclude the corresponding carbon dioxide gas. The more electricity is used, the more carbon dioxide is emitted.
In addition, such as TV remote control, quartz clock, etc. The battery should be replaced regularly. Waste batteries will also have a great impact on the environment, mainly water pollution and soil pollution.
Kitchen lampblack emission, external air conditioning, air pollution.
Due to the high temperature in July, the average temperature reached 25~37 degrees Celsius, the duration of high temperature at 37 degrees Celsius was about 10 day, and the air conditioner was used for 5 or 6 hours on average. In addition, the electricity consumption of televisions and computers has increased by three or four times compared with May and June, and the outdoor air is hotter because of the large amount of hot air discharged by air conditioners in residential areas.
Second, pay attention to the environmental protection lifestyle.
Since August of 1, I have been thinking: while advocating the enjoyment of modern life, we should pay attention to what kind of life can be more environmentally friendly and low-carbon. Adopt a climate-friendly and environment-friendly lifestyle, that is, everyone can be low-carbon as long as they pay a little attention every day. This is the attitude of low-carbon life.
First of all, let me start with saving electricity. Changing Lifestyle: A Guide to Climate Neutrality and the United Nations points out that only a few simple measures can reduce a person's daily greenhouse gas emissions by half. For example, according to the guide to common sense of life: put food in the refrigerator in moderation, and put too much or too little will consume electricity; The instantaneous current of air conditioner is large, and efforts are made to switch the air conditioner on and off infrequently; Tell mom that when the washing machine works in weak gear, the motor starts many times, so using strong gear is actually more energy-saving than weak gear, and it can also prolong the life of iridium washing machine; When the computer is not used for a short time, start the "standby" mode of the computer, and the energy consumption can be reduced to below 50%; Get into the habit of going to bed early and getting up early, exercise actively, watch TV or play computer regularly.
Then, pay attention to environmental protection life at ordinary times, start with saving electricity, and carefully analyze the electricity consumption in July and August:
(Table 1: Weather Conditions)
Monthly average temperature (Celsius) in sunny (sunny), cloudy/sunny (sunny), cloudy/thunder, shower (rainy) and rainy (rainy) days.
July 9 12 7 3 25~37
August 10 8 8 5 26~36
analyse
In July, the temperature gradually rose, with less rain, occasional thunderstorms, less rainfall and scorching sun. From the weather analysis, due to the influence of Typhoon Morakot, there was more rain in August than in July, but the high temperature of 37~38 degrees Celsius in August lasted intermittently for more than a week, which was much hotter than that in July.
(Table 2: Peak and Valley Power Consumption)
Total monthly electricity consumption (kWh) peak electricity (kWh) valley electricity (kWh) air conditioning (days) average air conditioning (days)
July 360 175 185 28 5
August 290 140
situation analysis
Knowing the electricity consumption in July from the electricity bill received, my mother also reminded us to pay attention to saving and turn on the air conditioner when appropriate. Since August, we have tried not to turn on the air conditioner in the morning, and closed the doors and windows for two or three hours at noon and afternoon, which is usually used when power is supplied to the valley after 9 pm. A month later, the electricity consumption and electricity bill dropped significantly. As long as we always pay attention to the electricity bill at home, the more electricity bills and electricity consumption, the more carbon dioxide will be produced.
We also pay great attention to the small details in life, such as: the shower does not turn on the electrical appliances, and all solar energy is enabled. Make a day's schedule, such as watching writing at 8- 10-11.30, watching TV, taking a nap after lunch, and doing appropriate exercise around 14.30.15-/kloc
Secondly, in terms of water saving, we also pay attention to recycling methods, such as washing vegetables, washing rice, and drinking tea leaves. The water used to wash the teacups is used to water the flowers, and the water used to wash the clothes by mother is used to flush the toilet and mop the floor. Turn off the tap after using water, turn off the water when washing soap in the shower, and then rinse after washing, so as not to let the water flow away in vain.
Third, suggestions for low-carbon families.
Low-carbon consumption means that limited resources should be used to meet people's basic needs and limit extravagance and waste under the constraints of resources and environment. "Little things" in human life can save the earth. Wangari Maathai, winner of the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize, said: "It is not the major events that show the difference, but the small progress we make every day." Any small decision made by people to get food, clothing, housing and transportation can make the earth repaired. Saving the earth does not require us to make great efforts and will not change the comfortable life. What is needed is to start with the details of life seriously. Here, we suggest to all families:
1. Replace the lamp with an energy-saving lamp. Although the price of energy-saving lamps may be more expensive, their service life is 10 times of the former, and their energy consumption is 1/4 to 1/5 of the former.
It is suggested that every family should use solar water heaters, so that the sun, a renewable energy source, can give full play to its great role.
3. Be careful of electronic waste. For example, a cell phone cadmium battery can pollute 600,000 liters of water, and a small battery can pollute the land. Therefore, discarded electronic products should not be thrown into the garbage dump at will.
4. Add clothes and shade to save energy. Add clothes in winter and open windows for ventilation in summer. Turn on the air conditioner as little as possible.
5. Turn off the tap and save water.
6. Buy green food with simple packaging and no chemicals. If we should buy some recyclable packaging products instead of extravagant over-packaged products, we can save valuable energy and reduce the amount of garbage.
7. Classified treatment of domestic garbage. Newspapers, beverage cans and oil tanks can be recycled; Clothes can be made into mops or given to others; Kitchen waste should be packed to prevent sewage from leaking out. Never throw rubbish out of the window at will.
8. Exercise actively and take part in outdoor activities. For example, walking, dancing and playing Tai Ji Chuan after meals can not only enhance physical fitness, but also save one or two hours of peak electricity consumption every day.
There are many things we can do to live a low-carbon family life. I'm going to start with the little things around me, such as: using less "napkins"; Let my mother buy me less new clothes; Use less disposable articles for daily use; Use the computer reasonably to reduce the brightness of the computer screen; Flowers and trees beautify homes and so on. We should also develop the good habit of turning off the lights, saving electricity and turning off the tap after using water, so that we can live in a low-carbon environment!
