On June 22nd, official website, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, announced that the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television had recently sent a letter to instruct the territorial administrative departments to provide audio-visual program services without the license for broadcasting audio-visual programs through information networks, and broadcast a large number of audio-visual programs on current affairs and social commentary programs that did not meet the requirements of the state. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on the Administration of Internet Audio-visual Program Services (Order No.56 of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the Ministry of Information Industry), effective measures shall be taken to shut down the audio-visual program services of the above-mentioned websites and carry out comprehensive rectification.
