M&F: When did you start to like fitness? What were the training conditions at that time?

Zhang Jian: I was born short and very weak. In junior high school, I fell in love with martial arts under the influence of martial arts movies. At that time, I was obsessed. Get up before dawn to practice basic skills and continue to play after school. Later, in order to increase strength, some simple instruments were made, such as push-up frames, a water pipe tied between two trees as a horizontal bar, a pair of dumbbells and a small barbell made of gear plates.

M&F: Are you still working out? What is the approximate frequency and intensity?

Zhang Jian: Now, students are trained together every day and in strict accordance with professional requirements. I train twice a day, once in the morning 10 and once at 4: 30 in the afternoon. These two times are training the same muscle part, such as back training day, width training in the morning and thickness training in the afternoon, each time for about one and a half hours, with a cycle of five days.

M&F: You have participated in some competitions before. What impressed me the most in retrospect?

Zhang Jian: Actually, every competition is an opportunity for me to reflect and make progress. The first time I went to the provincial championship, I thought I practiced well, but I didn't know until the competition site that the world was so big that I was nothing and was directly eliminated. After that competition, I took the initiative to contact bodybuilders in the province, often running around, making friends at home and inviting people to dinner, with the ultimate goal of learning something. It's really a first-class skill. Through study, my competition results are also improving year by year. I managed to make it to the final, and I won the fifth, third and second place, and I won the championship of men's bodybuilding in Sepp National Natural Bodybuilding Competition on 20 1 1, and I have never participated in the competition again. During this period, too many celebrities in the circle helped me, guided me and became brothers, old and young, all my life.

M&F: Did you become a referee later? Do you remember your feelings and feelings when you first became a referee?

Zhang Jian: Yes, from 20 1 1, I joined the World Chinese Bodybuilding Association initiated by Qian Jicheng, the world bodybuilding champion and the champion of Doha Asian Games, and participated in the jury of Ji Cheng Night for seven consecutive years. From 20 16, I officially served as the referee of Ji Cheng Night. My first time as a referee was on the season-ending night of 20 1 1. I felt very proud at that time, but I was still a little nervous. Sometimes when there are many players on the stage, my mind is even a little confused and I don't know what to think, but I have become more and more professional after slowly accumulating experience.

M&F: What are the criteria for judging bodybuilding, fitness and bikini?

Zhang Jian: Men's bodybuilding has different judging directions and standards at different ages. For example, in the 1960s, the first Mr Olympia competition was held. At that time, whoever practiced hard and had full muscles would win the championship. In Arnold's time, this standard was pushed to the highest point. Then in Frank Zan's time, he began to advocate classical bodybuilding, not paying attention to over-developed muscles, but paying attention to the smoothness and coordination of body lines. He won the Olympic champion with a weight of less than 90 kilograms. After more than ten years, it returned to the Big Mac era, with Ronnie Coleman and Jay Carter as the representatives. In the age of Fierces, we should not only have big muscles, but also coordinate beauty; 20 18 is not only bigger, but also coordinated, and the skeleton should be beautiful, so the champion gave Sean Leiden a beautiful skeleton and beautiful movements. Generally speaking, the standard of bodybuilding is muscle circumference and harmonious beauty.

Male physique represents beauty, sunshine, health and positive energy, mainly depending on innate advantages and skeleton. The head, limbs and trunk should be in perfect proportion, with wide shoulders and thin waist. Muscles should not be particularly exaggerated like bodybuilding. For example, as long as the chest muscle has an outline, it is flat from the middle to the lower side, including the outer side, which has a sense of fashion and a strong sense of quantity. In addition, the athlete's own hairstyle, face value and performance of the stage will all affect the referee's score.

Both women's bikini and men's fitness were first introduced to China on the auspicious night of 20 1 1. Bikini pays more attention to the training symbol, that is, to build a good figure through scientific fitness and diet, so there is no need for players to have exaggerated muscles or very clear muscle lines. Of course, it is best to have a wide shoulder and a thin waist, and then the expressive force and makeup of the stage should show the charming feeling of sports.

M&F: Do you have any particularly optimistic domestic bodybuilders? What do you think of some domestic athletes getting IFBB professional athlete certificates?

Zhang Jian: Li, a big boy who loves beach pants, I think he is very good. His present state can actually reach the professional level, but there are some details to be cultivated, specifically, whether to participate in fitness or classical bodybuilding. He may want to think about it and make corresponding adjustments. Now many athletes aim to get professional cards and become professional athletes. Of course, this is understandable. But I think the professional card still depends on its gold content, such as the scale of the game, the number of participants and so on. You should really know your own level, be worthy of your own state, the audience watching the game, and the fans who like you.

M&F: What are your expectations for the fitness industry and competition in China?

Zhang Jian: At present, there is a problem in the competition organization in China, that is, many competitions have restrictions on athletes. For example, athletes who take part in this competition cannot take part in another competition. In fact, I think all fitness enthusiasts, including athletes, belong to a big family. It may be better if all organizations and competitions can relax restrictions, learn from each other's strong points and develop together.
