I have the same experience when I go to the gym myself. The body is a unified whole. If I only practice my upper body for a period of time, I will be restricted by my lower limbs, and my upper body will not achieve any effect. I used to practice only the upper body, but I found it impossible after practicing for a long time. People with the same upper body size are much better at squat and hard pull than me. Later, I found that their upper body was still growing after the same training, but I couldn't catch up with their newly trained legs.
