This "oriental artistic conception" cockpit design of Hongqi H9 is not the first time I have seen it. As early as the new car of that dealer in Sichuan arrived at the store, I went to experience it carefully. Unfortunately, I didn't drive it out for a test drive. This grade of products will naturally not be stingy in material selection, with leather stitching, metal buttons and wooden decorative boards, with only one purpose, that is, to create a luxurious texture for you.
Not much to say, go straight to the road, get on the bus and close the door to adjust your seat. The backrest and cushion of this seat are soft, and the packages on both sides are tight. The overall feeling is still relatively commercial, and it will not give people an experience that they want to open. The reason why I didn't wear my seat belt triggered the seat belt prompt sound, and the sound effect of the national wind instrument was also my favorite.
Enter the starting point and adjust the driving mode to Sport Mode. There are only four events in the "mini track" of this test drive, namely, 100-kilometer acceleration+braking, ring pile winding, emergency lane change and right-angle curve. Due to the limitation of the site, the linear acceleration distance is not ideal. Even this V6 supercharger can hardly reach the speed of 100km/h with a little braking. After the speed comes up, the floor oil will reach the end point, which is about 80km/h when approaching the braking point, followed by a foot brake. After all, it is a business car. Although you can feel that the brakes have participated in the braking process, they are not very "decisive". In addition, the weight of this red flag H9 is nearly two tons, and the braking process of the vehicle is still slightly soft.
Round pile winding is mainly to feel the chassis suspension performance of Ta. All the 3.0T models currently on sale in Hongqi H9 are equipped with air suspension as standard. When the driving mode is adjusted to sports mode, the chassis of the whole vehicle has been lowered to the lowest position. With the suspension structure of front double wishbone and rear multi-links, the current state of the whole vehicle is considered as the best level of H9. Even in sport mode, this H9 steering wheel still feels electronic, light and supple. Although it will be very calm during normal driving, it will make the driver feel less confident during such a fast turning, and constantly adjust the position of the steering wheel.
The last simple emergency lane change is relatively easy to complete, because although the front looks like the whole car is "thick", there is no obvious visual blind spot in the sitting position after actually adjusting the driver's position. After easily judging the position, the vehicle passes in both directions. Before changing lanes, the speed is about 45km/h, and it is also easy to return to the direction. The vehicle has no obvious roll action.
The overall short track test will not add too much "sportsmanship" to this H9. The comfort of the seat, the feedback of the brakes and chassis are still calm and comfortable, and the feedback of the whole vehicle is still that kind of business tonality.
On the day of the event, we also experienced the red flag H5 of the 48V lighting mixing system. Compared with the previous 1.8T power, the initial torque output has been obviously improved by adding a 48V light-mixed 6AT gearbox.
At the same time, Red Flag SUV products HS5 and HS7 are also at the test drive site. We have designed the experience items of cannonball pit, hump and unilateral bridge for SUV models, which is convenient for us to experience the changes in the passability and chassis adjustment of the two SUVs. Unfortunately, time was limited that day, and we didn't have a chance to experience them one by one.

The short test drive experience can't make me "addicted", but from the new models launched by Hongqi, we can feel that this China brand is building its own product tonality. From the sense of driving, whether it is the smaller red flag H5 or the larger flagship red flag H9, the division of labor of chassis adjustment is very clear, and it can also show abundant power level in the venue on the day of test drive, so it can be developed and designed together with the old-fashioned "three big pieces".
