How many days before the opening ceremony of the Asian Games?
The Asian Games has already started.

On September 26th, the theme conference of Hangzhou Green Asian Games was held in the main media center. Qiu, director of the venue construction department of the Organizing Committee, Ruan Yeping, executive director of the Lake Transportation Sub-headquarters of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, Meng Xiangsheng, deputy director of the Environmental Protection Department of the Organizing Committee, and the Urban Environment Promotion Group of the Asian Games Traffic Support Command.

Qiu, deputy director of the Environmental Improvement Division and representative of the Asian Games venue designer, attended the conference and answered questions that everyone was concerned about. Xu Deqing, Minister of Propaganda Department of Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee and main spokesman of Hangzhou Asian Games, presided over the press conference.

Practice the green concept in Asian Games venues.

Of the 54 competition venues of Hangzhou Asian Games, only 12 was newly built, and the rest were rebuilt. Qiu, director of the venue construction department of the organizing Committee, said: "Every Asian Games venue has its own characteristics, which reflects the harmony between architecture and environment and depicts a new picture of beautiful Zhejiang and beautiful Hangzhou in the new era."

Qiu particularly introduced the rock climbing center in Shaoxing, which used to be an abandoned mine, but now it has turned waste into treasure and become a venue for the Asian Games, which has promoted the renovation, development and construction of the urban environment.

In terms of venue design, the guidelines for the design of green and healthy buildings for the Asian Games were formulated from the aspects of energy saving, water saving and electricity saving. Give priority to the adoption of new technologies, new materials and new processes, and integrate the concept of green, low-carbon and sustainable into the whole process of planning, design, construction, operation management and post-games utilization of Asian Games venues.

Qiu said: "In particular, the formulation of" Technical Guidelines for Indoor Air Pollution Control "has become the first initiative for the construction of large-scale comprehensive stadiums in China, providing Hangzhou experience and highlights for the environmental quality control of large-scale event venues."

Asian Games venues have also fully implemented the concept of renewable. For example, the swimming pool of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center can be kept clean and clear even if the pool water is not changed all the year round. The rainwater collection system on the roof of Fuyang Water Sports Center can save water by 35% every month. "

For the venues, the biggest green and sustainable is to let the venues continue to be used for national fitness after the Asian Games and avoid being vacant after the games. Qiu, the representative of the Asian Games venue designer, said that the design and construction of venues should fully consider environmental protection and sustainable development.

In the renovation project of Huanglong Sports Center, an air runway surrounded by rainbows was designed for citizens' fitness, and 17 national fitness programs including basketball and volleyball were integrated and opened. Qiu said: "According to statistics, by the end of August, the air runway alone had attracted nearly 400,000 citizens to exercise."
