To find the dragon guide tail on the map, you have to use the previous map. To find the dragon tail in the eyes of modern people, we must use the mentality of returned overseas Chinese. Dragon guide tail used to be a big town, which was closely related to this word. Only the dragon guide tail market is left, selling fish, water fish, vegetables, cabbage, bras and flower underpants, which is almost exactly the same as the market scene in your mind. Although Nanhua West Street made great efforts to rectify Guangzhou during the "three-year-long change" period, the old market, which was originally out of order, was orderly, but the old grandfathers and grandmothers who were used to being crowded in the crowd for many years, dragging their food baskets and bargaining loudly, still repeated the noise of the past in the new market.
Walking in the water-stained market, occasionally words like painting porcelain statues, repairing umbrella ribs and customizing cheongsam flash across, which makes you feel that you are watching nostalgic movies, but suddenly, the word "massage" will pop up next to the advertisement of "selling charcoal" to remind you that the movie is over, guest officer, go upstairs.
Fascinated: a prosperous New Year picture.
As far as we can see, the houses in Longdaowei are very old and the roads are very old, but they are all clean. Shops or goods are all inside the door, and I have never seen anyone occupying the road. There was a quilt seller who folded the quilt neatly and put it in the window on the street, which looked like a New Year picture from a distance.
Dragons lead their tails like a maze. There is no dead end here, but you may turn around and go back to your original place. There is a true story. Twenty years ago, an old man went to his daughter's house to visit relatives. He started from the foot of Jiangwan Bridge in the morning and arrived at Deng Ancestral Hall at 3 pm. Old Guangzhou is still like this, and the new Guangzhou can be imagined.
In order to find the South China West Street Sub-district Office, I saw a sign that said "Li Fushan" three times, and I broke out in a sweat. So I took off my coat and scattered my business card and change all over the floor. Fortunately, I met a group of female middle school students in a mess. Before I arrived at my destination, I quickly picked it up and gave me directions. In retrospect, once I was within 50 meters of it, but I made a detour.
Most of the streets and lanes in Longdaowei are paved with stones, and taxis and motorcycles are not easy to walk. But hiking is a pleasure, because it is wide and bright enough, and there is sunshine on every street. If you are afraid of sunshine, you can also hide in the shade for a while.
Hidden Dragon: The haunt of Panlong.
There are many dragons in the dragon guide tail. The dragon leads to Tianjin, Dragon Boat Port, Longfeng Street and Dragon Claw ... The dragon here means a boat besides the real dragon emperor, because people in the water town like to call the boat a dragon. At the end of Longdaowei, there is another river, Zhuyong, Screaming Trees, which has now become a stinking ditch, but it flourished in Guangzhou, Henan and other places in the late Qing Dynasty. It is the main waterway leading to the villages in the southern suburbs, and foreign goods, groceries and agricultural and sideline products in the north and south of the provincial capital are also connected. I remember when it was busy, although the tree and bamboo were just a small river, it had its own landscape of fish swimming in the shallow bottom and flowers flying on both sides. Every midsummer night, rich people with flags and long braids cross the bridge, turn out of Shamian, Fangcun and White Swan Pond via Feng 'an Bridge, or go to the western suburbs and Litchi Bay to enjoy the scenery of the Pearl River all the way.
There used to be a hill in Shuzhuyong. During the Dragon Boat Festival, people flocked to the mountains to watch the grand dragon race in the river. Now it has become People's Lane, and the street name is Longchuan Mountain. Li Panlong was built in 1903. Because of the strange shape of the lane, it looks like a winding dragon, so it is named "Panlong". Longzhu Bridge, a concrete arch bridge built in 1928, took a lot of effort to name it. This bridge connects Longjin in the east and Longxi in the west, so it is headed by two dragons. Therefore, the bridge was built after Shuzhu and Zhu Huan Second Bridge, so it was named "Dragon Ball Bridge" after the word "Pearl". After liberation, the river was turned into a sewer tunnel and the Longzhu Bridge was demolished, but the local residents still used their old names to call this area.
Crouching tiger, hidden dragon: the soil for one side to raise heroes
Feng Jingru, formerly known as Feng Neng, is a native of Xinhui, Guangdong, and lives in Longdaowei. Feng, short and black, was born in the 13th year of Guangxu (1887). He was born at the bottom of society. He made a living repairing shoes when he was a teenager. I went to Hong Kong to make a living in my early years, so I was nicknamed "Shoe Repair".
Teenage Feng Jingru likes playing chess very much. He began to play chess after mending his shoes. With his chess skills improving day by day, he also delved into the endgame of Jianghu and achieved certain accomplishments. At that time, most of the chess players in the Jianghu could not compete with Feng, which triggered Feng's dream of playing chess for a living, so he gave up the shoe repair industry and returned to his hometown of Longdaowei, Henan, and Guangzhou. After the success of the Revolution of 1911, Guangzhou was relatively stable, which also provided conditions for the prosperity of chess. The opening of Pianpian Tea Room and Tiannan Tea Room in succession provided a position for the prosperity of chess, and also allowed some Jianghu players to enter the chess building to make a living. Feng is one of them. Because the chess style resembles the famous chess player Wang Ze, it was later renamed Fengze.
1930 in the name of Zeng Zhanhong, president of South China Chess Association, and Li, director of the Association, wrote to Shanghai World Chess Association, inviting East China to send a team to South China for exchange. Feng represented South China in the competition, not only in chess, but also in manners, costumes and manners. Fortunately, the elites of the South China Chess Club don't care about their status, but only put forward some suggestions for improvement, requiring Feng and Li to wear long gowns and bring fans during the game, and they should also speak modestly and pay attention to their manners. For Feng, there is another problem of indecent name. After discussion, someone took "respecting one's life" as an allusion and proposed to change Feng Ze to Feng Jingru, which was unanimously agreed. Therefore, since the Southeast War, Feng Ze changed his name to Feng Jingru, and his image changed greatly. It can be said that he changed the world! Feng Jingru's name has since been recorded in the history of chess. He created the history of wearing a gown and once ended the poor life of squatting on the ground and setting up a chess stall.
Long Daowei once had a famous man. His name is Deng Shichang. When he was martyred in the Yellow Sea, Emperor Guangxu wrote a pair of couplets with tears in his eyes: "There are tears today, and there is a strong naval force." Today, after 108, the history of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 was once again opened, and the guns still echoed in my ears.
Deng Shichang Zhengqing 18 was admitted to Fuzhou Ship Administration School, and was the first graduate of the driving class. After ten years of Tongzhi (187 1), he was sent to Jian Jianwei as an intern, cruising South Asian islands and practicing sailing. After the first year of Guangxu (1875), he was appointed as the captain of warships such as Haidong Yun and Zhiyuan. In the 20th year of Guangxu, Japan invaded Korea. In June, it suddenly attacked the Japanese navy near Akio Toyoda, sank the Goldman Sachs troop carrier and the Sino-Japanese war broke out.
On August 18, the China beiyang fleet (Beiyang Navy) 10 warship fought against the advanced 12 Japanese warship in Dadonggou (now Donggou, Liaoning) at the mouth of the Yalu River. In the artillery battle, China's flagship Dingyuan was hit by artillery and Qi Shuai was shot down. Deng Shichang ordered the raising of the "Zhiyuan" flag and opened fire on Japanese ships to cover the "Dingyuan". Soon, Zhiyuan was surrounded by four Japanese ships, shot in many places, and the hull tilted. Deng Shichang shouted, "There is nothing but death today, but the prestige of the navy is always there! Today is the time for us to serve our country! " Immediately ordered full power to the Japanese ship "Yoshino", ready to fight it to the death. Unfortunately, the warship was struck by thunder and sank halfway and was killed.
There is also a story about Deng Shichang's martyrdom: unfortunately, the torpedo of Zhiyuan ship came out of the chamber, the boiler burst, the hull sank, and 250 soldiers of the whole ship fell into the sea. Later, Liu Zhong threw a lifebuoy to him, which was not accepted, indicating that "the boat will cross the bridge when it comes to it, and there is no turning back". Deng's dog swam to his side, grabbed his arm and was pushed away by him. The dog couldn't bear to leave and scratched his pigtail hair. Finally, Deng Shichang "looked at the sea and sighed, but the dog died unexpectedly" and sank to the bottom of the sea.
After the heroic sacrifice of Deng Shichang and his soldiers, the whole country was indignant. Weihai people spontaneously went to sea to salvage the hero's body, and there was a local ballad that "Li Hongzhang, a traitorous businessman, died in Deng Shichang". When the naval battle was defeated, the court shook. Guangxu gave Deng Shichang posthumous title "integrity" and posthumously awarded the title of "Prince Shao Bao", and the imperial relatives wrote down the memorial and inscription. The Qing court also gave Deng's mother a large plaque made of 1.5 kg of gold, which was unfortunately destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, and allocated 65,438+2 million yuan to Deng's family as a sign of pension. Deng used the money to build a monument for Deng Shichang and a ancestral temple for Deng. No.2, Xianglong Li Xian, Baogang Avenue, has Deng Shichang Memorial Hall and Haizhu District Museum. The whole ancestral hall has a typical Lingnan architectural style and is one of the few well-preserved ancient buildings in Guangzhou. Up to now, there are still sites such as water hyacinth fruit trees and ancient wells planted by Deng Shichang himself. The original name of Longxianli was Longzhuli, and it was changed to its current name in 193 1 year, to the effect that the spirit of taking its dragon can be continued.
Deng Shichang has three children and five daughters, and his eldest son, Deng Honghao, succeeded him and worked in the Guangdong Navy. He died in 1947. The second son Deng Haoyang died young; The third son, Deng Haogan, is a posthumous child. He served in the Navy Department of the Republic of China and died in Wuxi from 65438 to 0969. The eldest daughter Deng; The second daughter, Deng Xiuchan, married Ye Shuozhou, the son of an old classmate in Deng Shichang. Three women Deng Xiujuan; Four women, Deng Xiuting; Five girls Deng Xiuhai.
A college student wrote such a passage in the guest book commemorating Deng Shichang: "A nation without heroes is a nation without self-esteem; A nation that does not love heroes is a dangerous and hopeless nation. "
Place name record: a misinformed place name
When Liu Xun, the South Hanwang, built a palace on Henan Island 2000 years ago, he cloned the system of Chang 'an in Tang Dynasty-the palace gate has a passage with seven bends and eight turns, and both sides are blocked by bluestone, just like the dragon tail hanging to the ground and the dragon tail road in Gu Ming. Shortly after the Song Dynasty unified China, this palace in the Southern Han Dynasty gradually became a folk house, but the name of Wei Long Road was inherited. In the early Qing dynasty, some people mistakenly wrote the word Daozi as a guide, and later they mistakenly called it "Dragon Guide Tail".

Located in Jiangjunzhi Street, Tongfu Middle Road, this temple was built in the middle of Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the 30th year of Guangxu (1904). Legend has it that a watchman named Zhou (the duty of a guard) in the village was killed in a bloody battle with thieves. The villagers respected his bravery and called him "General". They specially built his residence into a small temple and made a statue to worship it, called "General Temple".
The temple covers an area of 8 1 m2, and is a brick-wood bungalow with two floors and a small horizontal hall in the middle. There is a couplet inscribed by Yang Wen at the main entrance: "Guan Gong, Hu Ben, Zhao Yong, Enchui Dragon Island." There are several stone tablets embedded in the wall of the temple, and the handwriting is blurred. The statue was destroyed in the "Cultural Revolution" and the building structure was basically intact.
Longfeng steet
Longfeng Street is located in the west of Haizhu District, on the east bank of the Pearl River. Streets and alleys are mostly named after dragons and phoenixes, which are not only beautiful but also have thousands of years of historical and cultural traditions. This has left the history of Zhang, the champion of the anti-Mongolian hero in the Southern Song Dynasty. This is the hometown of Deng Shichang, a national hero who died heroically in the Sino-Japanese War. It is also one of the birthplaces of the Southern Song Dynasty painting school, which has produced famous painters such as Li Shouan, Liu Qunxing, Li Xiongcai and Mai Hanxing in the past century. It is also home to some Cantonese opera artists. These have a profound and excellent mass cultural foundation and become very favorable conditions for the streets to carry out mass cultural activities. Longfeng Street has a strong cultural atmosphere. The existing site of the Cultural Station is 180 1 m2, with 4 sub-stations, 37 cultural rooms of neighborhood committees, 13 amateur cultural and sports teams, 15 organizations and 38 horizontal contact units.

Old streets and deep alleys; Slate road blue brick house. The street is not as wide as Zhang's. The street is winding and shaded by trees. There are flowers and trees on both sides of the passage, and sometimes there are inscriptions and painted walls. The scene of a small garden is unique in the inner streets and alleys. Between the rockery and the stone bridge, there are old people drinking tea and playing chess, as well as naive and lively children, chasing and jumping happily. In front of Rongyin Pavilion, there are "fans" hooked with plucked fingers and intoxicated with music scores, as well as fitness enthusiasts who stretch their limbs and are keen on dancing knives and sticks, just like a paradise. Xu Shijie, the former secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, once wrote a poem: "There is a struggle for fragrance among flowers, so people are busy with work and study, with Qi Fei on both sides of the material and spiritual wings, and more wings in the south."
