Research background: At present, in the face of many pressures such as entering a higher school, more and more students usually only pay attention to their studies and ignore their physical fitness. Blind study in the classroom, not many people take part in sports activities after class, and sleeping in the classroom during recess has become a serious problem. This has led to the decline of physical fitness to a certain extent, and the increase of obesity rate and myopia rate will directly affect people's learning efficiency and work efficiency. It is a well-known truth that life lies in exercise. Therefore, in order to improve the present situation, our group has carried out this research study, hoping that more classmates and friends will join the ranks of sports.
Research objects and methods
Research objects: Xiaoxian middle school, junior high school and senior high school (including experimental class and ordinary class).
Research methods: questionnaire survey, interview survey and experimental proof.

According to the survey, 35% of the students in our school (high school students and junior high school students) often take part in sports activities in their spare time, while 65% of the students do not exercise in their spare time, preferring to sleep and do homework in the classroom instead of exercising. In fact, this practice is not conducive to learning. Our group learned through online inquiry and data access that the brain is like a complex machine, but it is not a constantly moving machine. It is the highest recording organ in the human body. It is very sensitive and fragile to all kinds of stimuli. Long-term study and work will increase the pressure on the cerebral vessels, reappear the consciousness of protection (temporary fatigue), and cause dizziness, brain swelling and unresponsiveness in the body. If you study in this situation, it will not only have no effect, but also unbalance your brain and will over time, leading to neurasthenia, which will not only affect your intellectual development, but also seriously affect your physical and mental health. When fatigue occurs, if you can do some proper physical exercise, you can speed up blood circulation, provide sufficient nutrition for the brain, accelerate the synthesis of protein, make the brain inhibit and excite, and change functions, and fatigue will soon disappear.
Through the analysis of the above data, proper physical exercise in spare time can make the brain excited and energetic, and obviously improve the learning efficiency.
Through the analysis of our group's excellent and poor grades and physical exercise, 35% students took part in physical exercise, and 52% of them got excellent grades (including 8% with excellent grades and 44% with moderate grades). Therefore, students with good academic performance should pay more attention to physical exercise than those with poor academic performance. This also proves that students with good academic performance are not all nerds, and most students can better combine physical exercise with cultural study to achieve the best learning effect, which also proves the view of our group.
Proper physical exercise can improve learning efficiency, but when the time and intensity of physical exercise are insufficient or excessive, it will also have negative effects. According to the survey, 39% students think that they can exercise for 0.5 hours a day, and 29% students think that they can exercise for 0.5- 1 hour a day, which is actually very reasonable. If the daily exercise time is too long and the intensity is too high, the body will consume too much energy, feel tired and lack of energy, which will affect the learning effect to some extent. On the contrary, middle school students insist on proper physical exercise every day (reasonable time should be 0.5 ~ 1 hour every day) and maintain proper exercise intensity, which can not only ensure the effect of students' daily exercise, but also keep students full of energy, which is conducive to improving learning efficiency.
Through investigation and analysis, our group found that "whether sports will improve learning efficiency", and 60% students in our school think that sports will improve learning efficiency. 74% students think that physical education class will not affect their studies.
Through the questionnaire analysis of "methods conducive to learning", among the students surveyed in our school, 49% think that scientific learning methods are beneficial to learning, while 27% think that physical exercise is beneficial to learning. Therefore, most of them think that scientific learning method is the best way to improve learning effect, followed by physical exercise, which is undeniable. Therefore, physical exercise is one of the most effective learning methods to help us learn.
We searched relevant information on the Internet, and it has been proved by practice that physical exercise can improve the endurance of nervous system to fatigue, and can improve fatigue vision and hearing by 30%. At the same time, regular physical exercise can promote the release of endorphin-like chemicals in the brain, promote intellectual development, help memory and improve learning efficiency, thus proving the above viewpoint of our group.
In fact, physical exercise should not only pay attention to the diversity of forms, but also pay attention to the rationality of time arrangement. Through questionnaire survey:
32% students exercise in the morning;
20% students exercise at noon;

In fact, it is very scientific to do physical exercise in the afternoon or evening. The results of the questionnaire survey show that most students think that exercising 0.5- 1h every day is the best learning effect, and that physical exercise is conducive to increasing physical fitness, regulating physical and mental health, cultivating sentiment, improving learning efficiency, making students energetic, healthy, keeping a clear head, reducing learning pressure, concentrating, relaxing mood, promoting blood circulation, being conducive to active thinking, being conducive to physical and mental health, and maintaining peace of mind.
2) Interview survey method

The survey results show that nearly 60% students don't take part in sports activities after class. They prefer to stay in the classroom rather than make full use of the 10 minutes between classes, because they think that skipping these minutes will only make them exhausted and become weaker. However, research shows that proper physical exercise can eliminate fatigue and improve the efficiency of mental activities. Therefore, doing more relaxing activities after class will improve the tense learning atmosphere in our class and improve the learning efficiency in the next class.
Due to the limited stadiums and facilities in our school, students' sports activities can only be mainly running, supplemented by badminton, table tennis, basketball and football. But the playground of our school is under construction and will be finished soon. I believe that with the new playground, students' sports activities will be more abundant.
Through interviews, we found that about 43% students choose to exercise in the morning, and 28.6% students exercise in the afternoon and evening. Such exercise time is reasonable. After exercising in the morning, you are full of energy all day. According to the law of human biological clock, the effect of exercising at night is better.
By comparing the academic performance of the students surveyed with their participation in physical exercise, we can draw the following conclusions: 87.6% of the students who often participate in physical exercise have excellent or above-average performance, while the rest 13.4% exercise for about10.5 hours a day, and their performance is biased, while the scientific exercise time is 0.5- 1. This shows that excessive physical exercise not only does not promote learning, but is counterproductive.
86.6% students think that exercise will not affect their academic performance, and 62.5% students think that physical exercise will improve their learning efficiency. However, according to our oral investigation, senior three students are usually unwilling to take the initiative to exercise, and the exercise time is often occupied by culture teachers, which leads to their continuous study every day and no rest for their brains, so they generally feel weak and inefficient in learning.
In addition, 48.3% people in our school think that the scientific learning method, that is, the combination of work and rest, is the most conducive to learning, and proper physical exercise ranks second, while sea tactics ranks third. Indeed, combining physical exercise with study will get twice the result with half the effort. It is not the best policy to study hard behind closed doors all day. Don't study hard and ignore your health.
Through interviews and surveys, we found that in order to improve students' learning efficiency, students should correctly handle the relationship between sports and learning. Let students actively participate in sports. Proper exercise can not delay learning, but also relax nerves and adjust emotions, thus improving learning efficiency. Why not kill two birds with one stone?
Analysis of experimental results
The practice of our dream team is: every morning from 7: 50 to 8: 00, five people are divided into two groups. One group did physical exercise (running) 10 minutes, while the other group did not do exercise. Through questionnaires, interviews and consulting various documents, we know that scientific and reasonable physical exercise is very beneficial to our health and study. Through the investigation, we also found that 86.6% students think that physical exercise will not affect their academic performance, and 62.5% students think that physical exercise will improve their learning efficiency, which is also proved by the experimental activities of memorizing words by our group members.
In a word, we have every reason to say that proper physical exercise is good for us. Therefore, scientific and reasonable physical exercise is of great help to improve learning efficiency.
