Sleeping new colleagues don't know that after the test drive, we still have an exciting activity, that is, driving a NEDC new energy Ai 'an V, which will be officially launched on June 16, to challenge the 600+km roundabout and see the endurance performance of Ai 'an V in relatively bad conditions.
So when we finished the test drive of Ai 'an V, my colleague asked me, "When will it end, turn on the air conditioner and how far can I run?" The answer is naturally "I don't know, the air conditioner will be smaller." As for battery life, if we refer to the battery life we have done before, then the battery life of Aian LX should not be too bad. After all, Aian LX has measured the battery life of 663km before (please click this link for details).
So, I said, don't worry so much. What an exciting endurance challenge. Just start the challenge.
Review test vehicle information
Guangzhou Automobile New Energy Aian V is a compact pure electric SUV launched by Guangzhou Automobile New Energy in 2020. The pre-sale price of the new car starts at 6,543.8+0.7 million yuan and will be officially listed on June 654.38+0.6. In terms of battery life, it is understood that the new car will have a 530km version of NEDC 73kWh and a 600km version of NEDC 8 1kWh.

This time, the test vehicle we got is the version of NEDC, and the 8 1kWh has a cruising range of 600km. Although the measured vehicle is a non-production version, it is also the version closest to the production car, and the vehicle we got is a new car that has just driven 265km. The tested vehicle is equipped with 255/40 R20 European UC6 tires.
Test conditions and vehicle settings
According to XCX-test, this endurance test is not the most rigorous endurance test for daily use, but the endurance challenge around Hainan Island. Therefore, we set the driving mode to the extreme energy-saving mode, and started constant-speed cruising all the time during the test, with cruising speeds ranging from 90km/h, 80km/h to 70km/h. Of course, we kept driving to the right, which did not affect other social vehicles, and would accelerate when encountering a slow train.
Because it is an endurance challenge, the driving mode is set to extreme energy saving mode.
In the setting of air conditioning, we also adopted the setting of 25℃, 1 wind. We thought this air conditioning setting would make us very hot at the outdoor temperature of around 37℃, but in the end, the air conditioning was quite powerful. The setting of 25℃ and 1 windproof can also ensure that the car does not sweat, and the temperature is relatively suitable.
The air conditioner at 25℃ is set to 1.
It's still around 37℃ at four o'clock in the afternoon.
600km+ challenge Hainan Island with Ai 'an V.
A good challenge of cruising around the island is very simple in the choice of route. Starting from the charging station of Coconut Speed Charging Century Park, you can pass Ledong (going down for lunch) in Wanning section of Huandao Expressway, and finally arrive at Longqiao service area to charge the vehicle. The whole journey is a relatively smooth high-speed section. The dashboard at the end of this route shows a mileage of 605km, and the whole route is not a very flat road with many ups and downs. So I am still full of expectation and anxiety about the final result of such a challenge.
Final driving route
After driving 600km with full charge, the challenge officially began.
After being fully charged, the E 'an V dashboard shows a battery life of 600km. We will reset the mileage and energy consumption and start testing. After everything is ready, we started today's endurance challenge, starting from the charging station of Coconut Speed Charging Century Park to the urban section about 20km away from the entrance of Huandao Expressway, and starting around 8 am, just in time for Haikou morning peak.
Full power display can travel 600 kilometers.
Morning peak in Haikou city
After the morning rush hour in Haikou, it finally entered the Hainan Island Expressway. After getting on the expressway, we began to cruise at a constant speed, and the previous cruise was controlled at about 80 km/h. After driving for a while, we found that the performance of power failure was ok, so "I'm a little drifting" increased the cruise to 90 km/h.
Then there was a resentful male colleague (cheating to run for endurance) and a boring me holding the steering wheel (only ACC adaptive endurance was turned on without assisted driving). But it didn't take long for me to control the cruising speed at 80km/h, because frequent ramp ups and downs have a great impact on the energy consumption of pure electric vehicles.

Partially undulating road section
Under the cruise of 80km/h, we have been driving smoothly and had lunch at the exit of Ledong roundabout at noon (there are no food pictures here). After a quick lunch, I immediately changed cars with my colleagues and continued to start the challenge around the island. Finally, when the dashboard shows that the remaining cruising range is 130km, we will reduce the cruising speed to 70km/h according to the remaining cruising range.
After the remaining 130km, we will adjust the cruising speed to 70km/h to ensure the cruising speed.
In this way, I finally drove to the Longqiao service area in Haikou, and I couldn't display the specific cruising range with the remaining 5% power (remaining 30km). This display logic is the same as that of Aian LX. After driving 605km, the dashboard shows the remaining 1% power, so the endurance challenge result is finally fixed at 605km.
+0% remaining power after 65438 driving 605km.
Refer to the table below for specific battery life and power changes;
It can also be intuitively seen from the curve diagram that the endurance change of Ai 'an V in the challenge around the island is relatively linear, and there is no situation such as 20km driving and 30km power failure, which continues the strong endurance performance of Ai 'an LX.
In addition, in the end, we charged E 'an V with a special call, but because the charging power of the special call charging pile is 60kW, it is obviously "not enough" to charge an E 'an V with a battery capacity of 8 1kWh, so we didn't do the charging test. When we get a test drive opportunity in the new journey in the future, we will bring you all-round tests according to the new XCX-Test standard.
Summary: Although this time we are a challenge around the island, in this challenge around the island, the performance of Ai 'an V is quite stable, and there is no inaccurate display of endurance. It also reached 605km when cruising at a constant speed in the range of 70-90km/h, and finally returned to Haikou from Haikou.
Of course, this is just our endurance challenge, not the endurance test for XCX-Test, so when we get the test drive in the future, there will definitely be an endurance test according to XCX-Test standard, so you can look forward to it. However, this time, the new colleague has completed his first "trip around the island+endurance challenge" (manual funny).
In addition, in the challenge of cruising around the island, new colleagues also praised the intelligent performance and voice interaction of Ai 'an V space. However, for those consumers who want a compact pure electric SUV with 200,000 left and right hands, the launch of Ai 'an V is indeed a good choice, which has achieved the coexistence of face value and strength.
