The name of the Lakers' home court is Staples Center.

Staples Center is located in downtown Los Angeles, California, USA, adjacent to Los Angeles Live Development Zone and the Los Angeles Convention Center Building on Figueroa Street. Construction started on March 3 1, 1998, and was officially completed and opened in June1999+1October 17. This is a multi-functional gymnasium and one of the main sports facilities in greater los angeles area.

Staples Center is operated by Los Angeles Arena Company and Anschutz Entertainment Group. The Staples Center holds more than 250 events every year, with nearly 4 million visitors. It is used by two NBA teams at the same time, and it is also the home of two NBA teams, an NHL team and a WNBA team in North America.

Staples Center is one of the most popular sports centers in America. It is the home of NBA Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, WNBA Los Angeles Sparks, NHL Los Angeles Kings, AFL Los Angeles Avengers and NBDL Los Angeles Guard, with a maximum capacity of 20,000 people. It is also the arena used by two NBA teams.

1999 and 2000, Staples Arena won the title of "Best Arena of the Year" twice.
