Do students need physical exercise?
need

Because what we pursue is not the so-called strong body that runs fast and jumps far, but the health of the body. Today's society is a highly competitive society. When we were students, our main task was to study, get into a good university, and then find a decent job, so that we could live a carefree life. Because in this technologically advanced society, we don't need to fight with others. Being strong is not very important, as long as we are healthy. On the contrary, if students spend too much time on physical exercise, it is really a waste of time.

As some people say, today's young people are in poor health and can't compare with the older generation. I don't deny this, but I don't quite agree with it. Why? Because the history of mankind is a history of physical weakness. Since human beings learned to make tools and use them, the production efficiency has been greatly improved. So humans don't have to work so hard, so human physique has been weakening. Just like the older generation, people in the past were in good health because their production efficiency was not very high and they often needed to work in the fields. However, with the development of science and technology and the improvement of production efficiency, people have no worries about food and clothing. Young people don't even do housework, let alone work in the fields, so their physique is not as good as that of the older generation. But this does not mean that the health of young people is not as good as that of the older generation. In fact, although the older generation is physically strong, their life expectancy is not as long as that of today's young people because they don't pay attention to physical health and maintenance. Although young people nowadays do not attach importance to physical fitness, they attach great importance to physical health and often maintain their bodies, so they live longer.

Therefore, the author thinks that students nowadays really shouldn't spend too much time on physical exercise. Because everyone's physique is different, some people are good at running, some people are good at jumping ... but some people are not suitable for sports because of physical reasons, so it is unreasonable to measure a student's physique by measuring several sports activities such as running and long jump. Therefore, the author disapproves of students attaching too much importance to physical exercise.
