Previous studies have found that physical health is closely related to memory, concentration and other key factors that determine academic performance, and moderate physical exercise can stimulate the brain and make it more active.
However, the new study also found that British teenagers generally have less exercise time. The average daily exercise time for boys is only 29 minutes, while that for girls is 18 minutes, which is far lower than the 60 minutes recommended by the government. Researchers say that children nowadays are less and less fond of sports, and this study once again confirms the importance of full exercise. The government and schools should consider increasing physical education class appropriately to encourage students to go to school by bike or on foot.
