A large number of studies have proved that the total amount of exercise is more important than the intensity of exercise for the regulation of dyslipidemia. With the increase of total weekly exercise, the decrease rate of plasma total cholesterol increased and the increase rate of plasma high lipoprotein accelerated. Taking running as an example, some research reports mentioned that the blood high-density lipoprotein (HDL) level increased by 0.005 mmol/L every time the running distance increased 1km. The maximum change of HDL occurs when the running distance is 1 1 ~ 22k m/ week. According to the length of a single exercise training, the research shows that effective exercise time over 30 minutes can improve dyslipidemia, and if effective exercise time can reach 60 minutes, the effect of improving dyslipidemia will be better.
Therefore, for patients with hyperlipidemia, keep moderate-intensity exercise for 30-60 minutes at a time (a little longer for those who have the ability) and exercise for about 5 days a week to achieve the above overall exercise amount. Combined with the concept of exercise and fitness advocated now, patients with hyperlipidemia can also choose to exercise every day.
