The swimming and diving hall of Changshu Sports Center covers an area of 16000M2, with a building area of 23000M2 and a total investment of160 million yuan. There are six swimming pools inside and outside the museum, including a competition pool, a training pool, an outdoor surfing pool and an outdoor standard pool, forming a large-scale and fully functional aquatic world. First-class venue facilities fully meet the standards for hosting international and domestic large-scale competitions. Since it was put into use in 2006, it has successfully held the National Diving Championships, the 15th World Cup Diving Championships, the China Synchronized Swimming Open and the National Synchronized Swimming Championships, the National Swimming Championships, the 8th Asian Water Polo Championships, the first China Diving Star Series in Changshu and the 20 10 World Cup Synchronized Swimming Competition, and successfully bid for the 2000 World Cup. By holding large-scale international and domestic competitions, a platform for promoting Changshu has been built, which has become a window to show the image of Changshu. Good brand image and first-class venue resources also attracted the participation of professional teams. Suzhou Youth Diving Team and Changshu Swimming Team both set their training bases in swimming and diving halls. At the same time, as the municipal government's practical project for the people, the most important function of the sports center is to provide fitness places for the citizens. The swimming and diving hall is open to the public all year round. So far, the number of people who have accepted swimming fitness has reached 600,000, with nearly 2,000 full members and nearly 10,000 trainees, making it the first choice for Changshu citizens to exercise. At the same time, the fitness area on the second floor also has equipment, table tennis, badminton, aerobics and other fitness programs to meet the different fitness needs of the citizens. In 2008, the Swimming and Diving Hall was rated as "the favorite swimming place for the masses" in Suzhou, and it became the first swimming pool with a three-star title in Suzhou. In 2009, the swimming and diving hall was awarded the title of "National Advanced Swimming Pool" and "Jiangsu Advanced Swimming Pool". 20 10 Swimming and Diving Hall was rated as a four-star swimming pool in Suzhou.
