Physical education is a special physical education to train all kinds of sports professionals. This kind of education came into being with the establishment of modern education system and the emergence of modern schools. Early physical education colleges (such as Danish Gymnastics Teachers College established by 1804, Swedish Royal Central Gymnastics College established by 18 14, and German Central Gymnastics Teachers College established by 1848) almost all trained physical education teachers, which was considered as a "physical education" major at that time. In Europe, after the industrial revolution, education emphasized "paying equal attention to three educations", and physical education gradually became an integral part of school education. Physical education teachers have relatively extensive and stable social needs.
Students in this major mainly study basic theories, basic knowledge and basic skills in pedagogy, psychology, human science, school physical education, physical exercise, training and competition, receive basic training in sports science research, and master the basic ability to engage in school physical education.
