Schwarzenegger warns bodybuilders:
1, self-confidence is the primary factor of success.
If you believe in yourself, nothing can stop you from achieving your goal. From now on, accept this view: I will grow into a great man, and nothing can stop me. Don't worry about genetic factors and bone structure, and don't worry about the ridicule in the gym. Always remind yourself: I want to be a big shot! I believe I can.
2. Don't step into the misunderstanding of advanced training plan.
Don't try to imitate the training plan of a senior athlete you just watched, even if it makes him a champion.
At this stage, you can only choose one basic movement for each part of your body, otherwise you will soon fall into the mire of complex training. This will be a big test of your enthusiasm.
I suggest that beginners spend an hour and a half doing things that usually require an hour of training, instead of spending less time in the gym. In this way, you can fully recover between the two groups, so that you can use the maximum weight in each group of exercises.
3. All-round development.
Although bodybuilding attracts you because it can bring huge chest muscles and thick arms, don't forget there are other parts. I made this mistake that year. When I first came to America, my upper body was very developed, but my calves were as thin as matchsticks. This forced me to redouble my efforts to create a balanced physique.
4. Use the maximum weight for each group.
Maybe you will say, I don't want to take part in the competition. But think about it, how ridiculous it is to put on fitness pants to cover your branch-like thighs when you swim at the seaside!
Only you can decide your own training movements.
The usual training moves are not suitable for everyone, and you may find that a certain training move is not completely suitable for you.
Don't make do with practicing several groups at this time, try several new moves until you find your favorite group.
If you want to know which part of a new movement is the most important to practice, the method of bodybuilder Vince Gironda may give you the most intuitive explanation. His method is to choose a group of movements, do it 20 times, 20 times in each group (this number is a bit high for beginners), and see which muscle hurts the most the next day to find out the answer.
