What are the hidden rules of the gym?
1. Put the weight back.

This sounds obvious, but the atmosphere and experience of a specific gym depends on whether people abide by this rule. A messy gym not only means wasting your time looking for the equipment you need-and finally finding it hidden in the corner next to the foam drum for no reason-but also creates an atmosphere of disrespect.

If most people don't put the weight back, the culture of the gym will change: this is a signal that people here don't respect each other, the gym and ultimately themselves.

Please don't read that article in a didactic tone. I feel guilty about it myself. I felt very depressed when I was in a messy gym. Sometimes I throw these things away after eating them, because obviously, if no one cares, then why should I care?

But it soon became harmful: I became part of the problem, I was dissatisfied, and I was unlikely to be friendly to people around me. In a messy gym, people will be more rude. The atmosphere becomes toxic because everyone is quietly angry with others. Just like a park without garbage and a clean gym, we all have a better experience because we respect the fact that this is a space.

Don't walk between the mirror and the person who takes things.

No one said this, but everyone who has accepted it knows how depressed it is. Looking in the mirror is important for maintaining a good posture, but someone walking in front of you will also distract your attention and ruin your plan.

It can also be dangerous, because when you lift heavy objects, you don't want to feel that you might hurt people around you because of their mistakes. I almost blew my head off with a water kettle bell-if I hit them, it was their own fault, but it doesn't matter. No one wants to cause harm in the gym, whether for themselves or others.

Unless there is really no other choice (such as in a crowded gym), always walk behind the weightlifters and stay away from them. Even if there is no choice in the game, you can wait 30 seconds for them to end the game; You will certainly appreciate the same courtesy of others.

Never disturb anyone.

It is normal to ask others how many episodes of equipment are left in the gym, so that you can know whether it is worth waiting and let them know that you want to take over when they run out (see 4). Maybe they can give you a thumbs-up and wave to you when they are finished.

But never ask this question when someone is standing in the middle. I'm surprised that even experienced fitness enthusiasts will do this. Completely ruined your attention and scenery. If someone asks you questions or waves to attract your attention, you can't concentrate on a controlled action. Wait a minute, until they are finished!

4. When you are waiting for someone else to finish, don't crowd together (instead, you are willing to share devices between two groups of devices).

Nothing is more distracting than having someone waiting for you to finish your performance. You start to feel stressed; You ran so fast that you ruined your exercise.

If you want to take over a piece of equipment while others are finished, just ask and wait in the distance. They know you want to take over, so when they finish, they will call you.

If they or you still have a pile of collection work to do, it is perfectly normal to suggest that you mark it-when they are resting, you do your collection work, and vice versa. Doing so will actually create a better atmosphere in the gym-a spirit of cooperation and respect.

On the other hand, if someone takes a short break between the two groups, if they say so much, don't be angry when they have finished their rest. The purpose of doing this is to make everyone achieve the exercise effect they want, rather than infringing on each other's goals.

5. Responsible person is preferred

This is a more subtle rule that is often overlooked, but when it is observed, it will be deeply appreciated.

The gym will be crowded; Everyone wants to do their own thing, which means there are many people coming and going in the room. But whoever picks the heavy burden, no matter how big, has priority. Get out of the way and let them pass-it's much more agile for them when they try to carry heavy equipment with them. As always, you will be grateful when people give you the same courtesy.

By the way, it must be remembered that after doing high-intensity exercise, a person will become dispersed because of the rapid movement of endorphins in the body system. If other people cross your path like zombies when they catch their breath or vaguely walk to the other side of the room, don't get angry-it's usually unintentional, and you will often find yourself doing the same thing.
