Where is the scapula?
It is a triangular flat bone attached to the back and outside of the chest, between the second and seventh ribs. It can be divided into two sides, three sides and three angles. The ventral or costal surface is opposite to the thorax, which is a large shallow fossa called subscapular fossa, and the transverse ridge on the dorsal surface is called scapular ridge.

The superficial fossa above and below the supraspinatus muscle are called supraspinatus muscle fossa and infraspinatus fossa respectively. A flat projection extending outward from the scapula, called acromion, meets the lateral end of the clavicle. When the upper limbs droop, the vertical line passing through the lower corner of the scapula is the chest marker line.

Extended data

The scapula is one of the important keys of shoulder joint activity. If the initial position of the scapula is taken from the beginning, the subsequent shoulder joint movements are not much better, because the scapulohumeral rhythm is inviolable in shoulder joint activities.

Shoulder push, bench push, pulley pull-down, weight lifting and other sports. (especially the head) may lead to sports injuries, such as shoulder impact, discomfort around the scapula or shoulder strain. ?
