The development of Changchun has been reported many times before. This plan is located on both sides of Kaixuan Road in the demolition scope of Tiebei core area, close to Yi Kuang Street, which is about 800,000 square meters of the locomotive factory.

After the demolition, the plot will be transformed into a historical and cultural block with a total investment of 20 billion yuan. It is estimated that construction will start on 202 1 and be completed in 2027. With the theme of "showing the historical features of Changchun railway in the past 100 years", the project will build a commercial and residential area focusing on residence, commerce, education, exhibition and cultural tourism. The original locomotive factory will be moved to Kuancheng equipment area as a whole.

At the end of March, 20021,the overall relocation project of CRRC old factory was officially started, and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. In other words, it is estimated that by the end of next year, more than 800,000 square meters of land next to the Second Ring Road will be completely released. On the south side of the "Locomotive Works", there is a historical site full of memories-Kuanchengzi, where there is the first railway station in Changchun. 1899, the Russians built a railway station named after Kuanchengzi. In the future, it will be transformed into a historical block of Kuanchengzi Station of the Middle East Railway, including a large-scale fitness center, a cultural museum (exhibition), a music bar and a Russian-style food city.
