What are the aspects of vocabulary accumulation in IELTS test?
Vocabulary is an essential part of IELTS preparation, so how do students remember vocabulary when preparing for IELTS? I think this is what many students need to know, so let's take a look at the vocabulary accumulation in IELTS.

Cumulative method

A. vocabulary learning and accumulation in life.

How to accumulate in life? Take the health topic in part 1 as an example. There is usually such a question: How do you feel? How do you feel about your health? What do you think is the healthiest lifestyle? What do you think is the healthiest lifestyle? ……

This topic is actually a very common problem in life, and people often mention the top priority (it can be said that health is actually very important); If you are not in good health (you can describe your views on health); Can't be measured by money, can't be measured by money (health can't be measured by ...) The three short sentences here are actually often used in life. If we can write them down in time, they can actually be used to improve the answer to the first question, which is better than simply saying, "How do I feel healthy?"

Biological clock disorder; People who go to the gym often go to the gym. These two phrases can be used as the answer to the second question. People who often go to the gym must have a healthy lifestyle, while people with disordered biological clocks must be unhealthy. If you can use these two phrases or words flexibly in your answer, it will definitely add points to your expression. There are many vocabulary phrases like this, depending on the accumulation degree of life details and the initiative of learning.

B. vocabulary accumulation in usual exercises and model essays.

Many candidates' vocabulary accumulation methods are actually carried out in their usual practice. This method is actually very good and can be applied to practice. But how to accumulate vocabulary more effectively?

For example, we see a passage like this: "Although I am not a person who often goes to museums or galleries, I still believe that going to this place will help people cultivate their artistic taste, cultivate their aesthetic ability and stimulate their creativity. Maybe this can also broaden their horizons and enrich their knowledge. " Seeing this passage, you can see it clearly in the description. Going to the museum is good for people, but interested students will learn some pithy words or sentences from it, such as: cultivating the taste of art; Cultivate your own aesthetic ability to cultivate your own artistic appreciation ability; Stimulate someone's creativity ... these combinations can actually be used very well. In addition, the development of verb usage, cultivation, stimulation, broadening and enrichment are actually very common verbs, but it is very useful to use them together, which can enhance the expression effect, make your expression more hierarchical and appealing, and leave a deep impression on the examiner. Here's another sentence. Although the sentence pattern here is relatively simple, the use of adverbial clauses is the dominant sentence pattern that needs attention.

If the examinee can analyze the sentence pattern of this sentence in this way when dealing with model essays or some materials, I believe it will be fruitful, because many model essays and materials are presented by relatively high-level roast ducks or masters.

C. systematic memory of vocabulary books.

In fact, I don't recommend candidates to use vocabulary books for systematic memory. But it can also be used as a simple preparation aid. Let's talk briefly about how to remember vocabulary. First of all, candidates should choose vocabulary memory books that are more suitable for them. Here are two good books: IELTS Lexical Roots+Associative Memory Method (disordered edition) and IELTS Lexical Companion-Spoken English. As can be seen from the title, the former is a preparation method based on the combination of word formation roots and associative memory. For example, if you remember that the root anti means "against, on the contrary", then you can associate and derive many words, which will be relatively easy to remember and regular: Anti-war means anti-war; Antipathy antipathy (anti+sad feelings); The opposition of opposites; Anti-theory (anti+thesis; Viewpoint); Antimicrobial (antibacterial); Antibody antibody (anti-+body) ... This book focuses on the memory of roots and the association of words; The latter's oral English is mainly aimed at memorizing the basic vocabulary, and it is easy to carry, and the vocabulary of each part of the topic is also relatively clear, so you can take a closer look at it yourself.
