Under the measures of adjusting the distribution of school resources and improving students' accommodation conditions, more than 4,000 students in our school moved into the student apartment of Beijing Jiaotong University. The new dormitory with 4 people 1 room is spacious and bright, and each room is equipped with a bathroom, a personal wardrobe and a bunk bed: the upper bed is a bed, and the lower bed is a spacious desk with a computer keyboard rack.
The newly-built "Jiaotong University" construction project in 2006 covers an area of 3.5 hectares, adjacent to the east side of the campus, with 6,543,800 square meters of student apartments, student canteens, student supermarkets and other ancillary facilities. After the completion of the whole project, it will solve the accommodation problem of 1 10,000 students in our school, and further improve the accommodation conditions of students. The dormitory for undergraduates will be improved from 8 to 4 to 6 students 1 room. The school has installed Tietong 20 1 telephone and network nodes for each dormitory in the school, and students can surf the Internet in the dormitory.
The school * * * has all kinds of student canteens 12, with a dining area of more than 9,000 square meters, and undertakes the dining task of more than 20,000 students. The student canteen passed the acceptance of the standardized canteen of Beijing Education Commission and was awarded the title of A-level unit of health quantification by Beijing Health Bureau. The restaurant always adheres to the concept of people-oriented and serving teachers and students, and reasonably matches high, medium and low-grade dishes, with more than 200 kinds of dishes, which can meet the dietary needs of students from different regions and different consumption levels.
The school has well-equipped indoor and outdoor sports venues, including 20 outdoor basketball courts, 6 volleyball courts, 4 tennis courts, 2 football fields, and a standard swimming pool/kloc-0. There are 10 indoor badminton courts, 2 volleyball courts, 2 basketball courts, as well as a gym and gym. Both stadiums have paved plastic runways, which provide good conditions for the sports activities of teachers, students and staff of the whole school.
