Tip 3: the relationship between SketchUp central axis and Lumion moving coordinate points. Before exporting, you need to confirm the location of coordinate origin in SketchUp. When we move the model to the coordinate origin, that is, the intersection origin of the red axis, the green axis and the blue axis, and import it into Lumion, there will be corresponding moving points in Lumion. In order to make the model move more conveniently in Lumion, we need to move the model to the middle of the coordinate axis in SketchUp. Tip 4: Material substitution and interactive use In version 8.3 officially released by Lumion, synchronous interaction with SketchUp model can be realized, but so far, most designers are still using versions 8.0 and 6.0, so we will continue to take version 8.0 as an example. When the SketchUp model changes and needs to be updated synchronously in Lumion, the SketchUp model needs to be saved in the original position first. In this case, saving in place means saving and overwriting the file in the previous path. So in Lumion, there are two ways to update the model. Select the green coordinate point and add an "invisible" material to it, so it will disappear in Lumion. Tip 8: How to deal with the imported terrain line The first thing to do after importing the model is to pull up the terrain model. The terrain model is raised to a certain height. In this way, when the lawn height is set later, those road materials and forage materials will not be worn through the ground by the grass below. If we cross the ground, we will move at high altitude. At this time, even other models of tung may move together, so it is better to determine the height of the terrain file in advance. When some objects extend below the terrain file, such as making pools and underground parking lots, it is necessary to raise the model to show the objects below. Tip 9: Lumion files need to be saved as every time? When the model made by Lumion was saved again through modification, it was found that there was no "overwrite" button, only a "save as" button. If the SketchUp source file is lost or deleted, you need to set one of the overlapping faces as "invisible" material in Lumion, hide it, and check whether this method will affect other effects. Tip 1 1: What if some materials suddenly display red after the model is imported into Lumion? In SketchUp, no red material was added, but after importing Lumion, some parts of the model lost their previous material properties, were marked as red, and the inspection surface was outward.
