In view of the above situation, relevant parties have taken corresponding measures to develop sports undertakings. For example, governments at all levels have increased capital investment in sports facilities, and the construction of various sports facilities has been included in the scope of urban planning. While increasing the number of stadiums and gymnasiums, the functions of existing stadiums and gymnasiums are improved and the quality of stadiums and gymnasiums is improved. In order to support the construction of sports facilities, relevant departments have formulated corresponding policies to provide land for new sports facilities by administrative allocation. If these changes are not reflected in the design of sports venues in time, the completed venues will not be able to host international competitions, and the achievements of athletes in domestic competitions will not be recognized, resulting in unnecessary losses. Judging from the construction trend of sports facilities, the construction of sports venues in developed countries abroad presents some new features, which are very worthy of our study and reference, no matter the design concept or the application of scientific and technological achievements.

In terms of design concept, it pays more attention to the comprehensive utilization of venues and fully considers their future operation, maintenance and management. Many venues are simple in appearance and plain in interior decoration, but they are very humanized and convenient to use. In the use of functions, pay attention to the diversification of use functions, and pay attention to the reservation of multi-functional facilities in the construction stage; With the wide application of modern scientific and technological achievements in sports events, venue equipment is increasingly specialized and self-contained; At the same time, it attaches great importance to energy conservation and environmental protection, and generally adopts natural lighting and natural ventilation. Some venues have established energy recovery systems to save energy and protect the environment. The standardization of sports facilities is an organized activity, and its basic function is to sum up practical experience and standardize and popularize these experiences.
