There are many classification standards for TV programs, including content, program form and object type. According to the current general classification method, TV programs can be divided into the following categories, and then subdivided into several subcategories:

1. News column. Generally, it includes oral news, video news, special news, interview news, investigation and other small columns.

2. Education column. Generally including cultural education, social education and other small columns.

3. Literature column. Taiwan sports include special literature and art, comprehensive literature and art, evening programs and various literary columns and other small programs.

4. Sports column. Generally including sports competitions, sports news, sports knowledge, sports appreciation, fitness and other small columns.

5. Service column. Generally including food, clothing, housing and transportation, medical care, employment, marriage, meteorology, transportation and tourism, shopping and cooking, family crafts, room layout and other small columns.
