About the origin and information of New Year's Day! ! !
New Year's Day is a traditional festival in China. The solar calendar is 1, and most countries in the world also call it "New Year". The so-called "yuan" refers to the "beginning", and the beginning of each number is called "yuan"; What is "Dan" is "day", and together with "New Year's Day" is "initial day". In fact, "New Year's Day" usually refers to the first day of the first month in the calendar. Judging from the situation in China, the word "Chinese New Year" has existed since ancient times, and it was first seen in the Book of Jin in literary works. The "New Year's Day" in the history of China refers to the "first day of the first month". The calculation method of the "first month" before the period of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty was very inconsistent, and the dates of New Year's Day (the first day of the first month) in previous dynasties were also inconsistent.

So, what is the origin of New Year's Day?

In fact, the origin of New Year's Day can actually be traced back to the Yao and Shun period. Legend has it that in the prosperous time of Yao and Shun in ancient times four or five thousand years ago, Emperor Yao worked diligently for the people and did many good things, which was deeply loved by the people. However, due to his son's incompetence, he did not pass on the throne of "emperor" to his son, but passed it on to Shun, who has both ability and political integrity.

At that time, Yao said to Shun, "You must pass on the throne in the future, and you will be relieved when I die." Later, Shun passed the throne to Yu, who was as diligent and loving the people as Shun. He has done many good things for the people and is deeply loved by people. Therefore, after Yao's death, the day of offering sacrifices to Heaven and Earth and the first emperor Yao is regarded as the beginning of a year, and the first day of the first month is called "New Year's Day" or "Jacky", which is the ancient New Year's Day.

In fact, many people think that New Year's Day is only modern, but it is actually wet. In ancient times, many imperial dynasties held ceremonies to celebrate New Year's Day, such as offering sacrifices to gods and ancestors, writing couplets on doors, writing blessings and dancing dragon lanterns. Folk activities such as offering sacrifices to gods and buddhas, ancestor worship, posting couplets, setting off firecrackers, observing the old age, having a reunion dinner and many "social fires" have gradually taken shape.
