During the Cultural Revolution, it was not well maintained and almost collapsed. After 1987, the third hall of Niutou Temple was rebuilt, and the former name of Niutou Temple was Rentou Mountain.

Legend has it that a farmer's cow lost its ring at the foot of the mountain. After searching everywhere, it was found at the top of Rentou Mountain above the cliff. The cow gave birth to a calf and was passed down as a magical cow, so the people built a front, middle and back temple on this peak and named it Niutou Temple.

At the foot of the mountain, Jiuyan Spring spouts pearls and spits jade, and the elegant river on the bank of Hebei drips gold and silver; Zhaikong Cliff Castle has a long history, and the valley behind the cliff is quiet. Exactly: the pine crane on the cliff is far away, the Maoan Caotang leans against the mountain, the picturesque peaks and mountains are endless, and the pavilions and terraces of the ancient temple are neutral.

Niutou Temple, its towering walls, Xixia Pavilion in front of it, Tibetan Moon Architecture with carved beams and painted buildings behind it, and Woyun Pavilion with high sky and high moon are the main attractions of Niutou Temple Forest Park. After years of expansion and maintenance, Niutousi Forest Park has become a tourist area integrating ecological protection, green plant development and cultivation, tourism, recreation and fitness.

The sunrise and sunset glow in Hui Jin turn tourists into golden bodies, stepping on the turbulent sea of clouds under their feet and ringing pines in their ears, which makes people feel relaxed and happy; The melodious bell of the ancient temple lingers on the vast land, as if it were a clear sound from the sky.
