Luoyang Xiyuan Park, located in the northeast corner of the intersection of Nanchang Road and Jiudu Road in Luoyang City, was built in the 1950s. It was named after it was built on the site of Xiyuan in Yang Di, formerly known as Botanical Garden, and later renamed Xiyuan Park. This is a classical garden dominated by precious plants.
The former Xiyuan was the place where Yang Di collected exotic flowers, plants, birds and animals from all over the country. Now Xiyuan Park, personally, I think spring is the most worth going to. In the spring breeze in March, magnolia, peach blossom, purple plum and spring flower are in full bloom, weeping willows hang down, the lake is rippling, and people taking pictures and playing can be seen everywhere in the park.
Address: northeast corner of intersection of Nanchang Road, Jiudu Road, jianxi district.
2. Wangcheng Park
Luoyang Wangcheng Park is definitely the most famous park in the local area, and its popularity around Luoyang is also very high. Why do you say that? Of course, it is because peony flowers "move the capital when they bloom"
The annual Luoyang Peony Fair has been held for nearly 40 years. Wangcheng Park is not only the origin of the World Expo, but also an important venue. Of course, as a comprehensive park, Wangcheng Park is also the first park built on the site in China. Every April, tourists in Wangcheng Park are jostling with each other, and the park will start collecting tickets. In spring and March, all kinds of flowers are in full bloom, and there are no tickets. It is an excellent leisure and amusement place.
Address: Intersection of Wangcheng Avenue and Zhongzhou Road, accessible by bus, bus and subway (not opened).
3. Sui and Tang Dynasties Site Botanical Garden
Sui and Tang ruins botanical garden is the youngest comprehensive botanical garden in Luoyang. It was built in 2005 and opened to the public the following year. Because it was built on the site of Sui and Tang Dynasties, it is still a national key cultural relics protection unit (surprised or not)
The botanical garden of Sui and Tang Dynasties ruins should be the park with the largest variety of colors in Luoyang, with only peony flowers. At present, there are more than ten botanical gardens, including Peony Garden, Rose Garden, Lilac Garden, Plum Garden, Waterscape Garden, Begonia Garden and Gui Huayuan. The Sui and Tang Dynasties ruins botanical garden can enjoy flowers all year round. Magnolia Garden recommended Magnolia Garden, Begonia Garden and Plum Garden in March. Of course, you can also enjoy flowers while exercising on the fitness trail.
