1, Introduction:

Zhong Nanshan, referred to as Taiyi Mountain, Difei Mountain, Zhong Nanshan Mountain and Zhounan Mountain for short, is the birthplace of Taoism culture, Buddhism culture, filial piety culture, longevity culture, Zhong Kui culture and God of Wealth culture. Located in the middle of Qinling Mountains, it is an important geographical symbol of China.

Zhongnan Mountain is located in Shaanxi Province, starting from Yangjiabao in the easternmost part of Lantian County, which is rich in beautiful jade, and ending at Nanliangling of Taibai Mountain, the main peak of Qinling Mountains in the westernmost boundary of zhouzhi county, between east longitude107 37 ′-109 49 ′ and north latitude 33 4 41′-34 22 ′. Across Lantian County, Chang 'an District, Huyi District, zhouzhi county and other counties, it stretches for more than 200 miles and stands in the south of the ancient city Chang 'an (Xi Chang 'an), becoming a tall and solid support and majestic barrier of Chang 'an City. Known as the "fairy capital", "the crown of the cave" and "the best place in the world".

Zhong Nanshan is located in the main part of the collision and splicing of the northern and southern continental plates in China. It is the natural dividing line between the north and south of China in terms of geology, geography, ecology, climate, environment and even humanity. Known as "China Natural Zoo" and "Asian Natural Botanical Garden", it features geological relics of Qinling orogenic belt, Quaternary geological relics, landform relics and ancient human relics.

Zhong Nanshan is a national AAAA tourist attraction, a world geological park, a national forest park and a national nature reserve. On August 23rd, 2009, Zhong Nanshan Mountain in Qinling Mountain was officially selected as the World Geopark by UNESCO.

2. Location and background

Zhong Nanshan is located in the middle part of Qinling Mountains, between east longitude10737 ′-10949 ′ and north latitude 3341′-3422 ′, 25km away from Xi, Shaanxi Province, with a total area of 485 1 km2. ?

3. Topography

Zhong Nanshan is a part of the Qinling Mountains, starting from Meixian County in Baoji, Shaanxi Province in the west and reaching Lantian County in xi, Shaanxi Province in the east. The main peak is located in Chang 'an District, with an altitude of 2604 meters.

The terrain in Zhong Nanshan is very dangerous and the roads are rugged. There are five big valleys and hundreds of small valleys, stretching for hundreds of miles. Zuo Zhuan called Zhong Nanshan "the danger of Kyushu", and historical records recorded Qinling Mountain as "the obstacle of the world". The "Chang 'an County Records" written in the Song Dynasty says: "The south runs through the south of Guanzhong, starting from Qinlong in the west and Lantian in the east, with a distance of 800 miles.
