On the other hand, Cocos engine is not good at building 3D games for a long time.

Fortunately, Cocos engine has never given up "making up lessons". On BIGC, Chen Haozhi showed two videos, one is 3D game rendering similar to Genshin Impact style, and the other is 3D mobile game rendering using Cocos Creator 3.3.

In the two videos, the former shows the ease of use and lightweight of Cocos engine, while the latter shows the performance of Cocos engine and 3D picture effects (delayed rendering pipeline technology, cluster light removal, cluster reflection probe, exponential height fog and other Cocos Creator 3.3 features) in multi-light, multi-vertex and large scenes.

Chen Haozhi said: "From Cocos officially released the 3D version of Creator in 20 19 to Cocos Creator editor officially merged 2D and 3D workflows in 200219, today we have been able to realize full scene editing, 3D workflows, and various physics and lighting effects that could not be realized in the past. While Unreal is rebuilding the real world in a digital environment, Unity is deploying a cross-platform environment, and Cocos is further lightweight and sinking, Chen Ye shared his thoughts on which scenarios the future engine can be applied to.

In the next stage, the engine may cover all devices with "screens", and new devices with screens need to be filled with content, which needs to be guaranteed by experience. Many usage scenarios of these devices with screens are subscription system, which is an extension of game tools and content.

In the future, whether it is XR equipment, intelligent fitness, intelligent cockpit of electric vehicles, or even smart watches and intelligent conference systems, it will be the new blue ocean for game developers.
