Mao Ma Platform Writer-Ma Tao Go Forward

It has been 30 months since the idea of English enlightenment began two months ago, and the effect is still quite good. I hope I can share my experience with more mothers in need. I also hope to get more encouragement from my mother in this respect to move on.

Win-win investment

I am an engineering girl, and I don't know much about code words. I can only use my resume to present our journey of enlightenment. It seems simple, but it is a valuable experience that I have worked hard for 30 months. I hope it will help parents who want to have English enlightenment.

In these 30 months, I can only study while my child is sleeping, giving up the time for beauty and fitness, and getting a lovely bilingual baby.

But I think it's worth it, because these 30 months have brought valuable experience to help children acquire a second language, and laid a solid foundation for him to take exams and eat his old money in the future.

It also opened a second window for my life and career. When my children don't need my care, I may become an English tour guide or a foreign trade worker.

Experience in the process of enlightenment

Before starting enlightenment, look at the experience sharing of predecessors and start teaching students according to their own characteristics and abilities.

I analyzed the similarities and differences between these predecessors. Parents are basically engaged in English work, and they are both research-oriented talents. They have clear goals and firm will, and have the corresponding financial resources to provide children with regular opportunities to contact foreign teachers or friends.

Therefore, I think their children's good English learning results are mainly the result of their parents' persistence and the influence of foreign teachers (there can be no foreign teachers, but their motivation will be worse). The existence of foreign teachers can let children know that there are indeed foreigners who speak English besides their parents, otherwise children will be more inclined to use Chinese as their mother tongue. )

There is no doubt about it, of course, the sooner the better. Because the purpose of learning English is to test first and then communicate. Of course, it would be great to add points for our future work.

Since it is an exam, we should study as soon as possible. At present, English has only two classes a week in daily teaching. To cope with the exam, we still have to rely on a lot of extra-curricular tutoring, which will definitely take up the study time of other subjects, and children will be overwhelmed by the third grade of primary school. And English is a language, just like the dialect spoken by grandparents, which can be taught from birth and does not hinder the learning of Chinese at all.

Many people's experiences can't be detailed, and they are basically the same.

Whether family English enlightenment can blossom and bear fruit ultimately depends on the companionship and persistence given by family members and effective education methods.

The most effective companionship actually only takes one or two hours a day.

1 is related to daily life.

I usually eat, drink, sleep and sleep in English, just like I said in Chinese.

Prepare a sentence or two for each scene, learn it by yourself first, and then talk about it when taking care of the children. This is not difficult for those of us who have studied English.

It is important to dare to speak. As long as the input of the original audio is strong enough, the accent problem has little effect on children.

2 children's songs

Don't be greedy and don't compare with others. One poem a week is like enlightening children with poetry. One poem a week is enough, which is a lot in a year.

Of course, children's songs are close to the priority of life, and counting and modeling can be arranged.

Complexity is ok, because eventually the children will reappear for you, just like in the nursery rhyme of Mother Goose.

When Albert was over one year old, I sang this song as a lullaby for him. Now he can sing the song completely by saying a long sentence, just like reciting a poem. Of course, I usually give him relevant explanations, such as telling him that playing the flute is a musical instrument and showing him pictures. I will tell him that you are young and grandma is old, and the nouns involved are covered every day, so that when the child reaches a certain stage, he will understand the meaning of this song.

3 picture books

For small-month-old babies, of course, it is best to flip through books. Parents can always attract their baby's attention with exaggerated expressions and tone. Dear zoo, for example, can easily learn the names of a bunch of animals. Before the child speaks, just input, and when output, it will naturally output.

(The following is my opinion: Children speak sooner or later in direct proportion to their input. As long as parents tell him a lot every day, it is inevitable to say it early. Talking late around, excluding pathological factors, are basically caused by less investment. But by preschool age, they can basically speak fluently, but this is also the result of years of accumulation, and it must be admitted that the depth of children's language is different)

Secondly, I choose classic picture books with beautiful melody. I'll use Liao Caixing's nirvana in fire for the first two seasons, and the implementation process is basically in accordance with Teacher Liao's plan.

Two or three books a week, and at least one hour of songs for children every day; Take the children to read in the evening.

In the early stage, children's autonomy was not so high, and they were attracted by the beautiful melody, so we read well and regularly.

But for various reasons, children's Chinese is getting better and better, and their self-awareness is getting stronger and stronger. He began to like to show us his favorite Chinese picture books, such as chicken balls, Baba dad series, bear series and so on.

This led me to look for new picture books that could attract children. There have been some fairy tales recently, such as Jack and the Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood. This may be the relationship between children's cognition and story stage.

4 cartoons

I started watching Peggy Piggy when my child was one and a half years old. I watched eight episodes a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I don't know if he can understand it, but I just can't stop. I also think it doesn't matter if I watch it for 20 minutes at a time. Later, when I was a little over two years old, I was premature and nearsighted because all parties publicized not to watch electronic products before I was three years old. In addition, during that time, when the child was watching TV and rubbing his eyes, he took him to the third-class hospital for a vision check, instead of a mydriasis check. The instrument was tested and the doctor said it was normal. But I was still a little scared. I was afraid of watching too much TV, so I turned it off decisively. I haven't watched TV for more than half a month. I'm basically not at home except for eating and sleeping, and I play outdoors every day. The child didn't blink either.

So I'm sure that puzzles in TV and picture books are caused by things that waste your eyes. I decisively turned off the TV, and the reading time of picture books was reduced to less than one hour, and other quantities were also greatly reduced. I try to improve my spoken English, speak English to him more and learn to sing for him. Who called me a stay-at-home mom? This is my values. Recently, the comic book "Little Bear's Paw Patrol" was added, but the time was strictly limited.

5 parents' English level

Take me for example. I was in CET-6, and later my work involved email English, so I didn't have a chance to express it orally. At the beginning of English enlightenment, I can speak basic words, but I don't have the stock of some daily expressions of actions, so I basically only say the early words to my children, such as:

-What's this?

This is a flower and this is a tiger.

Later, I learned a lot of nursery rhymes of sss and various picture books recommended by experts. After learning a song, sing it to the children and demonstrate it with action. So the child outputs the words first, then the children's songs with broken sentences, and then the whole song.

As the child is two years old, I found that his Chinese ability is really good.

Write a poem once a week and repeat the familiarity. Idioms such as sparkling, messy and bullish are also used properly. But when reading English, he knows everything I say, but he doesn't want to output it. He still stays in short sentences of two or three words or sings nursery rhymes, and his daily communication is basically Chinese.

I thought, what's the problem?

Looking back on the communication process with children, I found that I spoke a little fast, only focused on output, but forgot to teach him how to answer.

For example, I ask you what is your favorite part of the day?

He can only talk about playing with sand, so I will add that my favorite part of the day is digging sand with you.

Now he will gabble. I understand that because the sentence is too long and complicated, he hasn't mastered it yet, but now he is getting better and better every day, and he will soon make the complete sentence clear. When you eat, you will say "Please pass me the cup".

Will he remember what you should say before he leaves the table?

He knows. May I leave the table? etc

In short, in a single family communication environment, parents must tell or demonstrate how he asks and answers questions. Otherwise, the child will only say no.

Next step arrangement

After 30 months of crossing the river by feeling the stones and learning English with my children, my children's English enlightenment has basically begun, forming a bilingual thinking, and I have changed from a state of being unable to speak to a state of being able to speak, which is a win-win situation. The next step is to learn words, introduce natural spelling and subject knowledge, which are based on persistence and time accumulation.
