The 2023 Nanjing Jiangning University Town Half Marathon is co-sponsored by Jiangning District People's Government and Jiangsu Sports Industry Group * * *, which is the first event held in Jiangning District in recent years and the largest marathon event. * * * There are three groups: 1957 Heritage Group Half Marathon, Volkswagen Group Half Marathon and Happy Run (about 5km), among which 1957 Heritage Group has 17 people, which is the same as the number of participants in the first New China Marathon 1957. The Volkswagen Group has about 4,000 people and runs 6,000 people happily.
Among them, the length of the half marathon is 2 1.0975 km, mainly for marathon enthusiasts. The happy running track is about 5 kilometers long, and it is mainly based on national fitness. On the track, considering the traffic, people flow, road surface, surrounding scenery and other factors, in order to show the beauty of Nanjing Jiangning University Town to the greatest extent and the innovative vitality of Jiangning High-tech Zone, the organizers set the starting and ending place of the event at Jiangning Sports Center.
The idea of hosting this competition
This competition adheres to the concept of "runner-centered" and insists on scientific competition. At present, Jiangning District has established the "Organizing Committee for the 2023 Nanjing Jiangning University Town Half Marathon", which is composed of 32 units in the district. According to the relevant competition standards and work requirements, the preparations for the competition are carried out in an orderly manner.
The track is equipped with reasonable personnel streamline, and Fangshan key stage is monitored to make up for blindness, track safety maintenance, emergency rescue channels are determined, and traffic diversion scheme is refined. There will be more than 2,000 police officers in the whole journey, and each staff member has undergone professional and meticulous competition training.
Focusing on building a "Green Competition", the Organizing Committee has formulated a detailed public transport streamline in light of the competition situation, and organized 65 special buses to connect volunteers, medical personnel and rescue workers to meet the transportation needs of the contestants and staff.
