The national fitness program in the 13th Five-Year Plan period, as the first five-year plan after national fitness became a national strategy, defined the nature of the development of national fitness, the internal and external relations of various elements, the pattern, the focus and the future trend. On this basis, the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" pays more attention to grassroots supply, standardization construction, coordinated and integrated development, and strives to build a higher-level national fitness service system.
At the same time, this plan is the first five-year plan after China proposed to build a sports power by 2035 and achieve the goal of a healthy China. Wang Bing said that the gap between China and the world sports powers in the supply of public sports services is still obvious. It is a long way to go to realize a sports power.
Wang Bing believes that the five-year plan, as a short-term strategy, is more for future development. Therefore, at the moment when COVID-19 epidemic is still spreading around the world, as a national strategy, national fitness needs to establish higher development requirements and clearer development goals.
