The college has nine teaching and research sections, including track and field, gymnastics, football, basketball, volleyball, heavy competition, basic theory, medical sports teaching and research section and agricultural college sports teaching and research section. There are 6 professors, 35 associate professors, 26 lecturers, 3 teaching assistants and 4 workers. There are 5 13 students in the Institute of Physical Education, including 53 master students and 460 undergraduates. Among them, there are 259 undergraduates majoring in sports training and 20 undergraduates majoring in physical education1person. There are also sports anatomy laboratories, sports physiology laboratories and audio-visual classrooms. At present, there are 2 standard semi-circular track and field fields, 3 standard football fields and other outdoor venues of nearly 6,000 square meters, 2 comprehensive gymnasiums, 1 gym, 1 taekwondo gym, 1 standard swimming pool, 1 gym, 1 golf driving range and various sports equipment.

Over the years, the Institute of Physical Education has successively sent groups of outstanding national physical education teachers to Korean middle schools in Jilin, Heilongjiang and Liaoning provinces, and trained groups of "thousands of outstanding physical education teachers of China people", "national outstanding young physical education teachers", "national outstanding physical education teachers in traditional sports", "Jilin special-grade teachers", various international referees and numerous national referees.

In recent years, college teachers have undertaken 2 projects of the National Social Science Fund, 6 projects of the National Education Fund 1, and more than 20 projects of the Provincial Education Department, Sports Bureau and university level. He has published more than 30 papers in core journals and published monographs 17.
